Rudy Giuliani, President Trump’s personal lawyer, explained why the Trump campaign released a statement on Sunday distancing itself from attorney Sidney Powell.
“I think it’s because we’re pursuing two different theories,” Giuliani told Fox Business host Lou Dobbs. “Our theory of the case to get to the Supreme Court, now in four places, and it’s soon going to be in two others, and there will be an overall lawsuit, is basically misconduct of the election by state officials in at least five or six different states in which the misconduct of the election involved deprivation of constitutional rights for the President.”
Giuliani argued there were discrepancies across states with regard to curing, for example, which allows the voter to fix their ballot over something like a missing signature so it can still be counted. The former New York City mayor said in one part of the state, a Democratic part, this was allowed, while in another, it wasn’t. He also pointed to examples of “misconduct” in Pennsylvania and Michigan.
“We have evidence,” he said. “The evidence has been presented, and the media lies that we have no evidence. They're just too lazy to read our 100 affidavits, which are on the public record, from American citizens.”
The campaign announced the split with Powell on Sunday, noting “she is practicing law on her own” and is “not a member of the Trump Legal Team.” The statement came days after Powell appeared alongside Trump campaign lawyers at a Republican National Committee press conference where she alleged massive fraud through voting systems. Dominion has disputed her claims, saying it’s “physically impossible” to switch votes in the manner she has alleged.
In response, Powell vowed to carry on her fight.
“My intent has always been to expose all the fraud I could find and let the chips fall where they may–whether it be upon Republicans or Democrats,” she said in a statement, adding that her evidence is “overwhelming” and she plans to file a lawsuit this week. “It will be epic.”
No this is my opinion of the differences. Plain and simple
The Trump team is wanting to win the election and is NOT going to prosecute the traitors and deliver justice
Sydney Powell wants to deliver justice and prosecute the traitors and in the process Trump will win re-election
I am glad they did this, because I have been confused for a while about the 2 completely different tracks.
GOT It?
It came through on my side.
Well let’s put it this way. Go out and listen to all of the Powell’s interviews and you will see she is out for just. Like she said, whether the Pubbies or the rats cheated, let the chips fall where they may. That is Lady Justice, blind and only weighing the evidence.
Trumps team only talks about recounts, voter fraud and other violations of the voting laws to push recounts, throwing out fraudulent votes and such to get to 270 EVs. No where do they say they will PROSECUTE the violators. If they did it will be like the rhetoric used in 2016 that HRC will be prosecuted if he was elected. Never happen in deep state DC. The elitists have a get out of jail free card.
THERE, GOT IT NOW
“Theory” is the proper term, legally.

Thanks for your input on that... makes better sense now.
My feeling on this is that I don’t know for sure if there was actual manipulation on the machines. That they are capable of it is undeniable because it is baked into the software. How trackable that would be is unknown. A simple comparison with physical ballots and electronic ballots would solve this.
But I heard an analysis of the way the machines were used, where there IS no physical ballot. The person casts their vote at a kiosk, and when they are done it gives them a copy of the ballot to verify who they voted for. And that is apparently safe enough for *some* people. What could go wrong with that? Knowing a bit about networks, databases, software, and UI, there is a lot that could go on there.
If they did a count of the paper ballots and compared them to the tally of the machines, I would be satisfied, but they resist doing that, which makes me suspicious.
And then when they DO perform recounts of physical ballots, they carry them out as if they WERE hiding illegality.
Their behavior reeks of illegality. If there were no illegal activity, they would not have a problem with recounting them even with partisan Republicans sitting right next to them.
But they don’t.
They act as if they DO have something to hide, which I am convinced they do.
The point is, their pursuit of legal avenues may be more amenable (in a timely fashion) to people who have come forth and given sworn affidavits to election fraud, because that doesn’t require cooperation that is required to track down electronic election fraud, and that all sides are apparently loathe to render, including Republicans.
I see that lack of transparency as a major issue.
The jury was out for about 15 minutes before we came back and awarded him $0. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Exactly.
Both Giuliani and Powell know how to use court process in a very skillful way. Powell needs money and we should give it to her. I believe she is on to something.
Rudy has taken the simple case. Powell’s can be very complex. Both are necessary.
What is important for a next step is that both Giulliani and Powell have federal courts that grant then expedited discovery so they can get at the data.
I was concerned about what I called “small ball” approach of what is now the Guliani team. To date, as best I can tell, he has not produced a road map as to how they can “reclaim” the necessary votes to flip enough states even to deny Biteme the 270.
Well, we have a Saturday “deadline” from Powell. If indeed it is “epic” and well founded, patriots will have to consider whether the Republic needs them to financially support her work.I’m forced to wonder about the reported seizure of that server in Germany and what it might contain. And what she might know about it, and how.
To some extent I agree... but in the 1 1/2 hour press conference, they just dealt with ‘massive fraud’ as a vague entity with the understanding that it was (as Ellis said) supposed to be regarded as just an ‘opening statement’. Even when not including anything that Powell is working on, it’s a mammoth undertaking to take on what they are dealing with... I’m kind of inclined to just be patient and in part, this is because I don’t think there is any other option.
...there are 66 other counties in this state where the voters DIDN’T get a chance to fix or cure defects in their ballots and the reason why is because election officials obeyed the law and didn’t contact them.

This is a very good point. It’s easy to get cold feet about what could happen. I take confidence in Trump’s ability to deliver. Look at how well Sekulow and the rest of the team managed the impeachment. Look at the virtual convention Trump’s team ran - best convention ever. I’ve been impressed by Guiliani. He’s sharp as a tack and has a sense of humor, too!
The best lawyers in the country are on our team, they’ve been tested under fire. And we now have a solid conservative SCOTUS that’s guided by Constitutional principles.
It would seem likely that if Powell is going after Dominion she might be drawing information from "The State of Texas.”Dominion has disputed her claims, saying it’s “physically impossible” to switch votes in the manner she has alleged.
“Physically impossible.” Snort! If that can be so, our security rules which flatly forbid the storage of classified information on any computer connected to the Internet are ridiculous - and the security of its operating system is a modern marvel.
Texas isn’t using Dominion voting machines.

So did I...voting absentee is very different from voting with an unrequested mail-in ballot.
I think my mother-in-law’s dog in northern Quebec received a mail-in. And I’m sure that her paw print for Biden sailed right on through.
All of Georgia's counties use Dominion machines now. A paper ballot is produced to provide an audit trail. A hand count of paper ballots was performed in Georgia to audit the count against the tabulation produced by the machines. No discrepancies were found. Therefore Sidney Powell's theories about vote shifting by the tabulating machines have been debunked.
Rudy Guiliani and Team Trump are pursuing much more tenable and traditional theories of voter fraud. It's Sidney Powell who is half-baked.
Exactly, why are they hiding things?
So you're saying a Dominion machine produces a paper receipt of a ballot and that is what is counted, and those results are what is considered an audit in your book? Are you that naive, or are you simply a die-in-the-wool Republican bot?
Unless a quantity of faked ballots were produced and filled out, and that number of ballots matched the computer-flipped votes.
Then Sidney’s legal theory would hold.
And that’s why they don’t want the machines software examined, or voter rolls compared to residents.
There are two machines. There's the touch screen machine that an in-person voter uses. That ejects a printed ballot. That ballot is fed into a scanner which tabulates the votes. Absentee paper ballots are also fed into a scanner which tabulates the votes. The Georgia audit hand sorted the ballots by candidate and verified that count against the count produced by the machine. For Powell's theories about vote shifting by the machines to be true there would have been discrepancies in the hand count versus the tabulation count.
I am neither naive nor a bot.
