A California sheriff says she will not enforce Gov. Gavin Newsom’s new coronavirus curfew, according to reports.

Newsom announced a number of measures on Thursday, including limited stay-at-home orders and overnight curfews for nonessential work between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. every Saturday until Dec. 21.

Fresno Sheriff Margaret Mims, however, said she wouldn't be penalizing residents who didn't follow the curfew, FOX 26 reported.

Almost every Sheriff in the state has said they will not enforce.

And most police chiefs.

I just got back from Cali, was surprised how clean San francisco was... I guess covid means people can’t be harassed by the homeless and Newsome has put them somewhere? City was very clean, which was a surpise. what shocked me more was areas like Monterey and Carmel by the sea having signs up threatening anyone who didn’t wear a mask outside with a $100 minimum fine.

Why does San Francisco County get a pass on the lock down? Never mind, just figured it out

Riverside’s Chad Bianco made the same pledge back in May and hasn’t backed down since.

And that’s why liberals want to ban the Oathkeepers and replace them with jackboots loyal to social justice.

Why a curfew anyway?

Is the Wuhan Flu more dangerous at night?

Newsom has spent $800 million of California taxpayer money to take homeless people from their normal outdoors living spaces (which the CDC says is low risk for COVID-19) and put them up in hotels and motels (indoors, which the CDC says is high risk for COVID-19) to protect them from COVID-19.

https://www.archpaper.com/2020/10/california-governor-gavin-newsom-pledges-additional-200-million-for-homekey/

This while state workers get pay cuts, salary freezes, and forced furloughs because they don’t have any money. And before you comment about how those workers are overpaid anyway (and you aren’t wrong), consider that those workers normally put money into the economy and have now all pulled back at a time when Newsom is already strangling the state economy with lockdowns, shutdowns, and insane restrictions on businesses.

SF county seems to be currently ranked red in contrast to the 40 or so purple counties.

https://covid19.ca.gov/state-dashboard/

testing has increased from ~128k to ~178k during the past calendar month. in that month, covid cases have increased from ~3.6k to ~13k.

that is, about 50% and 250% increases respectively.

what i do not understand is

1 the concern over covid cases versus covid deaths
2 any changes in testing procedures or application demographics

informally i would guess that there must be something with 2, such as suddenly testing a new demographic pool or testing more of an existing known more subsceptible pool with the 50% increase in testing

sf mayor breed originated most of the current mandated lockdown associated with covid, so i am not certain that sf’s omission from the purple list represents something deliberate and/or planned.

if anyone has more information or different information i would welcome it...

When seeing a car driving on the highway, what would be the reason for the stop? Is there someway of knowing that they are not exempt? If a stop is made and a few dead kids are on the back seat, would that evidence NOT be allowed in court?
