Our cleaner watches Euronews in French while she cleans downstairs and I happened to see this come up. I got out my phone and waited to see it again.
I didn’t know you had an Au pair ;-).
BTW this would be at 0720 est in the USA when I took this picture. I am in Spain, 6 hours ahead.

Last August my wife got very sick. She spent months in the hospital and now she can hardly walk, which is an improvement because before that she couldn't walk at all. I was spending all of my time either in the hospital or commuting back and forth from the hospital so the house was being neglected. We brought someone in to help out a couple of days per week.
Because of the horrible effect the pandemic had on the economy we expected 1 or 2 responses when we advertised but instead we had dozens. The common thread was "I really need this job" and a few of the women were literally begging for the work. It was heartbreaking.

That’s odd. Why would they pre-sort ballots into two separate piles? There’s no need to sort. After they’re fed into the machines they’re being sorted. That’s why machines exist — to sort and provide results.

It’s all a big hot mess. If there’s any person who has a handle on ALL the abuses and crimes, that person is a genius. I’ve been Project Manager on some complicated programs. I’ve done process mapping that, when printed on a plotter, took up an entire wall of a large conference room.
This election ... it’s mind boggling.
