Pfizer says it is prepared to roll out its COVID-19 vaccine within “hours” of being approved.

CEO Albert Bourla said Thursday the drug company plans to start the process to apply for approval from regulatory agencies across the world in a matter of days, Sky News reported.

“Once they give us the green light, our goal is to start shipping in a couple of hours,” Bourla said.

Bourla noted that certain agencies could take longer than others to approve the vaccine, which it says has been shown to be 95 percent effective in preventing the virus during trials.

we have a vaccine, and a cure (HCQ), for a virus that is 99.88% non-fatal

I’m wondering: when will we stop shutting down everything?

Biden will claim credit for sure.

But Trump did that.

When people come out en masse and tell the petty tyrants to go eff themselves? Then dare them to take action? That's when it will stop and not a second sooner.

Not much risk in making wild claims about safety when they have been given TOTAL immunity from ANY liability.

They should ship it to the people who most need it in the following order:

1. Elderly in nursing homes.
2. Health care workers.
3. First responders.
4. School teachers.

They said on the radio today that health care workers are getting it first.

pharmaceuticals don’t make much money on vaccines..statins, diabetes, blood pressure medications yes... vaccines no.

Also do you have a problem with pharmaceutical companies charging for the products... isn’t that what capitalism is all about?

Teachers don't want it, they want another 6 months of paid vacation.

But which blood pressure medication? Atenolol and amlodopine aren't exactly cash cows, given that both are generics for many years.

20% require medical intervention. 5% are hospitalized. 3% end up in the ICU. 0.65% die.

The 99.45% survival rate is due in no small part to the dedicated men and women in our hospitals working day and night to save lives. Let’s give them a little bit of credit.

Young people should get it first. The way to slow the spread is to give to those doing the spreading.

If medical intervention is not necessary then it is not a “case”.

No file, no case.

A positive test is a case. If I’m going in for foot surgery, they require a COVID test. Positive test = case. If I’m flying to Hawaii, they require a COVID test. Certain sporting events (e.g. USA Weightlifting) require COVID tests. Anyone who’s exposed to a known-infected person can get a test any time. And anyone who tests positive is a case.

We’re catching all kinds of asymptomatic people now. We’ve been catching all kinds of people with mild symptoms. The stats remain the same: 40% of those infected will show no symptoms, 40% will show mild symptoms, 20% will require medical intervention, 5% will be hospitalized, 3% will end up in the ICU, 0.65% will die.
