Although the coronavirus pandemic has largely grounded the global travel industry, it did not stop the annual political conference that brings California lawmakers to Hawaii for five days of policy discussions and schmoozing with corporate sponsors.
The conference, which has been hosted by the Independent Voter Project every November for more than a decade, is taking place this week at the Fairmont Kea Lani on Maui’s southwest shore.

I thought that any visitor to Hawaii had to be quarantine and not leave the hotel. Is it of course it is, different for the lord and masters?

By now you should know that direct cash is not how graft works in AmeriKa today. Instead, corps pay family members 'consultancy fees' or appoint them as board members. There are literally hundreds, if not thousands of ways for money to be funneled to our corrupt political class.
I guess they had to go to Hawaii because there are no good beaches in California?
