Georgia's Republican secretary of state reveals that Lindsey Graham pressured him to find a way to toss out legally-cast ballots

Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said Monday that Sen. Lindsey Graham pressured him to find a way to toss out legally cast ballots in the state's close election between President Donald Trump and President-elect Joe Biden.

Speaking to The Washington Post, Raffensperger - a fellow Republican - said he talked to Graham, who chairs the Senate Judiciary Committee, on Friday and the South Carolina senator asked if he could toss out every mail-in ballot from counties that have higher rates of non-matching signatures.

'It sure looked like he was wanting to go down that road,' Raffensperger told the newspaper, expressing disbelief that Graham wanted him to disenfranchise large swaths of Georgia voters.

Translation: Graham wanted an audit of identity verification of all absentee voters. Desperately wanting to avoid doing that, because it would expose the widespread fraud that his consent decree had invited, Raffensperger relied, “can’t do that, the ballots and envelopes are already separated and there’s no way to tell who voted for whom.” Graham, “well if a high percentage of a county’s absentee votes are bogus and you can’t provide a better remedy, you have to throw out all the ballots you have spoiled.”

If this was the real dialogue, Graham deserves praise.

I suspect Graham was merely asking about legal remedies in cases where fraud or lax procedures were found.

For unknown reasons, Brad Raffensperger seems to have staked his career and reputation on pushing through these suspect/fraudulent election results, and has taken up an aggressive stance against any questions.
