My son and my mother in law live in a county that is led by a Constitutional Sheriff.
He and I had lunch together last time I was there. He is absolutely hated by Michigan’s Governor because she knows that he will ignore all of her unconstitutional orders and equips his deputies to do the same.
We will be there at Christmas and will gather with as many as we choose because we know he will follow the United States Constitution, not man’s laws. Or that insufferable woman’s silly decrees.

The Sheriffs are generally very loyal to the U.S. Constitution and are actually listed in the U.S. Constitution.

I’m in Maryland and feel exactly the same. I follow the law. A Governor’s executive order has zero effect on me, a citizen.
If I worked for the government, that would be a different story.

Good for these guys. I live in New Mexico and we have an out-of-control Governor who thinks she has dictatorial powers to basically do whatever she feels like. These sheriffs have the right idea - uphold the Constitution and force this tyrant to back down.
Newsom the scumbag just violated his own mandate the other day as he was caught gsthering in a restaurant after telling us not to.

This action by sheriffs and our enthusiasm for it are a large part of the reason for the commie/progressive movement to “defund and abolish the police”. Under that banner they will try to eliminate locally run police forces and especially local elected sheriffs.
Naturally to be immediately replaced by a wonderful, unicorn-riding national police force. This bright,shining national police force will eliminate police brutality and racism.

I’ve been flaunting Lockdown Larry’s edicts so far but things got really squirrely when I went to T Mobile last week to ditch AT&T.
A big, muscly black guy was the manager and he forced us to wear masks or get out.
He actually looked terrified.
If I was as big as he was, I’d fear nothing and no one.
He refused to even adhere to the last Hogan edit that I carry in my pocket, that exempts masks for health/hearing/etc.
But I really wanted to dump AT&T so I dealt...at least as long as he was looking my way.

Plenty of election shenanigans over the History of the US. The Human Beans, as a distribution, don’t really change all that fast. Plenty of Greek and Romans examples to study as potential precedents too.
