How many homesteads do these two “public servants” have combined?
In some communities, $15 per hour is at the top of the wage scale. A person who has worked years to gain pay at that level through merit performance will need to be moved up accordingly. The entire effect will be wage inflation that causes price inflation. Those who buy into it are the same folks who would buy that bridge in Brooklyn.
Bernie and these ‘believers’ will continue down this path until the following year where the $15 per hour pay is cleared of smoke. Then they will grasp that several hundred thousand Americans have been dismissed (now unemployed), and that the cost of living has gone up now...to the point that $15 per hour won’t be enough in three years. Then the $17.50 routine will start to be openly discussed. By 2030, people making $40k a year will be considered within the poverty circle.
Most Americans claim Sanders is an idiot.
I didn’t think Bernie was that stupid.
After seeing what happened and is happening to the House elections, you would have to be Stevie Wonder not to realize that the socialist agenda is not appealing.
Even a democrat rep from VA, Spanberger, admitted that voters do NOT want Bernie’s world. She won by the skin of her teeth and maybe with more scrutiny, maybe she did NOT win at all. Maybe VA will take a look at some “wins.”
"Sen. Bernie Sanders claimed, without any evidence, that Americans widely embrace a 'far-left agenda,' noting support for increasing the minimum wage and expanded healthcare." There, fixed it.
Socialism is good for the socialists
But alas, I don't think Bernie will get his wish.
Biden and the democRATS's failed coup d'etat have thwarted that idea.
Bernie wants to be the Secretary of Labor in the Biden administration.
This irony from a guy who's never worked a real job in his entire life.
Bernie Sanders claims majority of Americans support a ‘far-left agenda
This MEGA LOON communist belongs in a padded cell.
What’s the real minimum wage?
$ 0
I explained to my uber-Liberal nephew and his wife about one proposed new tax that was mentioned last week - a 5% extra income tax on anyone who works remotely and does not need to go to an office - and they were fine it (they and their kids work remotely) “as long as the money went for something ‘good’ and not into the pockets of the politicians friends”.
What needs to be clear in interpreting their answer is they would be fine with such a tax if imposed by a Joe Biden or a Bernie Sanders but not if were proposed by a Trump. As they view the political world, a socialist would put such a tax to something “good” while a Trump would just be using it to line his friends pockets in some way. Translation: socialism = good, capitalism = corruption.
Why do people think that geriatric feeble old white guys, with noticable signs of dementia, are leadership material??
The next question is: “ Who would be their ‘second-in-command’?”
That’s the one you have to either watch, or remove, FIRST!
I made minimum wage at one time. Never planned on staying on it. One will deal drugs whether it’s $7hr or $15hr.
Vermont has a Republican governor. He isn’t very Republican but he could appoint a Susan Collins clone to keep us endlessly amused.
