This lady is not Benjamin Franklin (as far as we know) but this headline made me think of him.

Before the revolution Franklin was far from a radical. He considered himself an Englishman who aspired to be welcomed in British society as a gentleman. When the Boston radicals were getting fired up at the crown Franklin got hold of some inflammatory letters written by the Mass governor and published them, thinking it would focus the anger of the mob away from the crown and onto this governor.

He just stood there and took it without flinching but when it was over as he headed it he was said to mutter “I’ll make your king a little man for this.” He left England immediately and was firmly a revolutionary from that point forward.
