AOC hits Joe Manchin with a stone-cold death stare after moderate Dem opposes 'crazy socialist agenda'

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y. fired a warning shot at Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.V., as the moderate West Virginia Democrat continued to vow that he will block any "crazy socialist agenda" on Capitol Hill.

The stakes are high as the balance of power appears to be hanging on the results of two Georgia runoff elections in January that will determine if Republicans will maintain control of the Senate or if Democrats seize the chamber by a 50-50 margin with Vice President-elect Kamala Harris acting as the tiebreaking vote.

On Monday, Manchin made headlines on "Special Report" when he told Fox News anchor Bret Baier that he would "commit" to voting against ending the filibuster and packing the Supreme Court.

Looks like Ann Boleyn when she caught Jane Seymour sitting on Harry’s lap with her tongue in his ear.

The funniest thing about this is that AOC thinks she intimidates Manchin. He loves getting criticized by her because it helps him keep his Democrat seat in an otherwise red state.

“Vice President-elect Kamala Harris “

Keep digging Fox.

Throw that old in-a-crises “Rule 1” out the window.

I had heard she has a boyfriend. I don’t know if marriage is in their plans. I’m guessing he’s a pajama boy type to be with her in the first place.

And with that, Manchin will weaken like a clump of snow in the Sahara sun.

“Death stare”? Hardly. Looks more like an “unexpected backdoor delivery stare” to me.

Oooooo! The “stone-cold death stare”!

That gave me a laugh. This from FOX, not some tabloid, or maybe it is.

How the mighty have fallen.

It is stunning how an idiot such as Ocasio-Cortez gets elected to Congress.

Some have thought she could challenge Schumer in the Senate primary in 2022 when he’s up for re-election. That would be a sight to see.

She’s emerged as a leader of the radical wing which is in control of the Democrat party. I hate to think she will be president someday but it could happen.

What people don’t factor in is that with the exception of the two South Florida seats, almost all of the R gains in the House were at the expense of self-styled “moderates” such as Cunningham in South Carolina, what’s her name in Oklahoma, McAdams in Utah, Peterson in Minnesota who at least talked the blue dog game. None of the radicals were defeated to my knowledge and the Dems still hold the House, albeit by a reduced number. I don’t know if the Governor of Georgia is worth a sou, but I do know that counting shut down in Atlanta metro around midnight on Election Night with Trump ahead in the state by a good 200,000 votes; the shut down was due to a reported major water main break near the counting center. Oddly, no one can identify where this major water main break occurred, there are no orders for repair work that night that have been identified and no one has issued an invoice to Fulton County. Where is the governor and what the hell is he doing about this?

Yes, efforts should be made to get Manchin to switch to the Republicans.

He is in a state which has become increasingly Republican. He was a popular Democrat governor of W. Va. years ago, when that state was more Democratic politically. Being at this pivot point for control of the Senate, could perhaps induce him to switch parties.

I think it could hinge on what happens in Georgia. If the GOP wins both Senate seats, then the GOP controls the Senate 52-48, and Manchin’s vote would not be pivotal. If Democrats win at we’re at a 50-50 split, THAT could be the point where Manchin changes parties.

WTH is with W. Va. voters and their love of Manchin? When does he ever cast a crucial vote against DemoRat madness? Never - unless it’s a throwaway vote that doesn’t matter. Who believes he would cast the deciding vote against his DemoRat overlords? He could avoid that scenario by switching to R in deep Red state W.Va. The only service he provides is lip service. Primary this useless tool out of his seat.

Of course, but the GOP comes up with many lousy candidates. The lack of enthusiasm for McSally weakened the ticket in AZ. Probably the reason the race was so close.

“...Manchin changes parties. ...”

Why?

Superficially (maybe actually !) it looks like the Republican star is falling and the Rat star is rising. If he buys into that what can the GOP offer that promotes his political future?

He would be at a pivot point where he could endlessly feather his own nest. Of course he would be publicly claiming here in WV that he’s cutting deals for the good of the state. I could see him do the Bernie Saunders thing, style himself an independent but caucus with the Rats. Effectively a cosmetic change but good PR for him to maintain that fiction of being a “moderate”.

Ideologically Manchin is whatever advances Manchin. The labels of conservative, moderate, liberal he’ll wear whatever label is necessary that gives him good PR.

Also he wants to run for President. Which party offers him the best place to do that will be part of his calculation.
