The U.S. set another single-day record for coronavirus cases, as the total number of new infections topped 136,000, while hospitalizations due to Covid-19 were at their highest level since the pandemic began.
The total number of confirmed cases in the country surpassed 10.2 million, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University, as the virus spread widely across the country.
Texas became the first state in the country to surpass one million cases, according to Johns Hopkins. California now has the second-highest number of cases in the U.S., with more than 990,000. Daily caseloads for Tuesday hit record levels in Illinois, Ohio, Colorado, Montana and Wyoming, according to Johns Hopkins.
Hospitalizations, up around 30% since the beginning of the month, reached 61,964 as of Tuesday, exceeding the previous high of 59,940 reached on April 15, according to the Covid Tracking Project. A summer surge also saw hospitalizations reach just shy of 60,000 in July.

Ginning up to justify a Buy-dung lockdown.
Biden’s fault.
Headlines like this tell me that the MSM are preparing for Trump’s second term...
How many flu cases/hospitalizations do we have?
And what’s happening in South Dakota that never had a lockdown? It would seem half the state should be infected and/or dead.
Biden’s fault. What has his Coronavirus Task Force been doing?
Going back to virtual learning in two nearby schools this week one was Monday and one tomorrow. These are bordering townships. Not sure how bad the cases are, though.

Getting colder, more people moving indoors. This also happened during the hottest time of the summer when people moved indoors into the AC.
I’m a huge proponent of staying outdoors as much as possible during this pandemic. The virus dies in fresh air and sunlight. It’s my theory on why CA is doing “better”—a nice climate means school and much work can technically be held outdoors, if only we would all do so.
I’ve been working outside in my CA backyard every day since March—only a few days so far have been too hot or too cold to do so.
What you say when the numbers do not match the rhetoric.
“Headlines like this tell me that the MSM are preparing for Trumps second term...”
‘The Force is strong in this one.’
The virus is showing seasonal characteristics similar to flu. It is more easily transmit with higher viral loads in low humidity/cold.
It’s very similar to the pattern of 1918 influenza. There were multiple waves with the Fall/Winter being the worst.
Dead COVID cells found due to over sensitive testing equipment + a serious case of bronchitis. = a COVID hospitalization...
I thought masks and shutdowns were supposed to help. Guess not.
Correct.
