Three Pentagon officials resigned from the Pentagon on Tuesday, just one day after Trump fired Defense Secretary Mark Esper.
“Today, Acting Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Dr. James Anderson, Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security Mr. Joseph Kernan and Chief of Staff to the Secretary of Defense, Jen Stewart submitted letters of resignation,” the Pentagon said in a statement provided to American Military News.
It looks like the main coup activity was coming out of the military & the Pentagon with an assist from the FBI & the CIA.
Is it different for someone who did wrong while government if they no longer work for the government. Do they have other protections?
I’m trying to figure out the why and what does it gain them to quit.
I’m not seeing any downside to this.

They only have to bail as long as Trump is president. If Trump loses, they'll all be back. Why weren't these moves made a year or more ago? Seems like desperation at this point.

I gotta say, and it saddens me greatly, that the FBI just seems rotten all the way through. After the last 4 years I don't think I could ever trust any FBI agent or their leadership again.
They are supposed to be unbiased and laser focused on the law. Maybe they feel they are doing what's best for the country but at least 50% would disagree.

That said, in Donald Trump’s defense against those who say he should have done this on day one, these posts needed to be filled. As a Complete Swamp Outsider, he did not know, could not know, who was who.
And, we must remember in his first two years the Republican Congress was on record telling President Trump if you fire so-and-so we will not confirm any replacement you nominate.
His own party (RINO’s) was against him from day one. They hated the fact this total outsider kicked so many Pubbie Politicians asses, handily, on his first try.

The FBI is poison. I’m thinking now that Comey & gang were a misdirect all along (Comey & gang were too incompetent to pull this off) and the real powers that have been moving on Trump were his military, the generals.
Good riddance to them. Hopefully a lot of others will follow.
