So they are going to have an investigation which will result in a report which will lead them to write a very sternly written letter.
Am I mistaken in believing that the legislature are the ones who seat electors? Who are they demanding this of — themselves?

They can demand peanut butter and jelly sandwiches if they like. They’ll have a better chance with the sandwiches, because PA law does not provide for some “lets make up the rules during the game” legislative “audit”.
Good. I guess my walking around the Pennsylvania Capitol building in Harrisburg 5 times with all those Catholics saying Hail Marys and reciting the 7 Mysteries of Christ amounted to something today.
(I was probably walking with them on laps 3 through 7, so I walked around the building 2 more times on my own. It was a lovely fall day in Harrisburg. I wore a mask, both for COVID reasons and so a picture of my face wouldn’t get back to my employer.)

I’m hoping that if they find that the voting waters are too muddied following their look-see, that they’ll just go ahead and select 20 Trump electors on their own, as the Constitution allows them to do.

To be clear, Cutler also called for an audit last week but actual House leadership have not made threats about seating electors etc

What if PA governor certifies anyway? Is that ok?
This is one of the things that all Republican majority legislatures in all contestable states need to do.
Correct. The Secretary of State can read the letter then rip it up. It will mean nothing. The legislature has no power in this matter.
Not a lawyer here, so asking for help understanding. Great the PA legislature is standing up! But can they actually stop certification? If DOJ opens an investigation, does that stop certification? In short, can anything stop the PA SoS from certifying? Thanks.
