Republican Burgess Owens once again took the lead over Democratic Rep. Ben McAdams in Utah's 4th Congressional District's close race, 47.6% to 47.4%, with the release Saturday of more results from Salt Lake County. Just 688 votes separate Owens, a former NFL player, author and frequent Fox News guest in the 4th District, from McAdams, the state's only Democrat in Congress in the district made up of portions of Salt Lake, Utah, Juab and Sanpete counties.

So does this mean we pick off another house seat or was this already accounted for in our house gains?
Please read and share this link sent to me by a retired Marine officer.

McAdams is not the only one in congress from Utah...Willard is there also...
Libertarian Party spoiler alert (3.7% of the vote in Owen’s race).
The only thing the Libertarian party has achieved in its entire existence is to usually siphon votes away from other Conservatives that are in the GOP. Rand Paul and his father have had a better approach. Being part of the GOP caucus they have had some impact on other GOP members, held onto their seats and held onto their principles.
Libertarian Party folks on the other hand have had nothing but a game, taking peoples money for chances that never pan out, and making no impact because they never get into office.
This would be another pickup. Rs are on track to flip about 10-12 seats, according to RCP.
Sure would be a lot simpler if some group, oh say journalists, made the final call on this and declared the winner. (Do I need an /S?)
Hmmm. List compilation by the forces of evil?
See #7 this thread.
Young Kim still up in Kalifornistan by 3000 votes with 98% in. I hope she wins this time.

Hope she wins, she has her whole life ahead of her.
(couldn’t resist)
We need this seat !
Worth noting that the Green Party stayed out of most of the battleground states this election. It’s too bad the Libertarians can’t think big picture like that.
Im sure the Libertarians got a good deal of their funding from Democrat donors.
“Worth noting that the Green Party stayed out of most of the battleground states this election. Its too bad the Libertarians cant think big picture like that.”
The Green Party stayed out on the hopes that the Dims win and get to implement their “Green New Deal”. They - the Greens - did not what to help defeat that possibility. To them it is policy that is the main thing, more than sitting in a political office. They play politics better than the Libertarian Party folks.
This is a red district. Mia Love was in, but she went left and the voters sent her packing. This enabled McAdams, a total Nancy boy, to have two years. But he voted for impeachment, so here we are. Owens would be an R pick up.
Has mittens declared the dem-o-rat the winner, yet?
Michelle Steel is also up by about 7K with 100% in. Thats another Orange County pickup if it holds.
Heres the thing - how come it takes so long to count a congressional race? Not like these districts are huge or that many people ?
I keep signing these petitions, but it requires an email verification & mine NEVER WORK! Every other link in the confirmation email works, but not the signature confirmation. Is this a bug or a feature?
If it’s this close, isn’t a recount automatically triggered no matter who wins?
