This is a bit tangential to tonight's re-election excitement (looking good!!), but can a person seasoned with campaigns explain why Trump et al is continuing to bury supporters in texts/emails asking for donations ON Election Day? If this is for his legal fund or something related to fighting back attacks on his victory, or if it's for paying off campaign debt, I'm all for throwing some more cash at him. But I'd like to know what this particular type of fundraising is for. Any ideas?
Yes, I seem to be getting text about every 15 minutes.
For his re election campaign in 2024
The explanation: It’s NOT Trump.
It is SPAM like any “Hi This is Rachel!!!” phone call you might get. It could also be Soros types trying to get Conservatives to be annoyed enough to abandon R’s/Trump.
Just text vavk stop
Victory rallies
Text Back stop
probably Karl Rove trying to make Trump look bad.
troll....
I honestly think they spent more than my monthly contribution in sending me daily mailers asking for more money. That is not a wise use of the money I gave them.
No, it seems completely consistent in style and source as all previous fundraising texts/emails I’ve received over the past six months.
I have received 79 (so far) since Monday noon...
61 since 1:13 AM Tuesday...
I’m not offended or otherwise upset...
From 880-22?
I read that as the cunning ability and skill to simulate real and legitimate fundraising.
Check any links for the URL, and see if it looks suspicious.
I’ll take the above back if the URLs point to real Trump fundraising pages.
I’m not offended. I’m just curious what the money is for. Conceivably, any credit card donation I make today won’t clear until Nov 4...
Nothing fishy with the link, goes to the usual winred.com site (unless I’ve been giving to a fraudulent entity this entire time). The donate page I’m led to from the text’s bitly link says “Official Website of Donald J. Trump for President,” which I am confident the Trump campaign would have shut down IMMEDIATELY had it been a scam for all of these months.
What else ya got?
Yes, primarily from 880-22, but also various 800 numbers, all of which link to legitimate winred.com donate pages.
Okay, I’m at a loss.
If so as you say, it sure is a turnoff - can’t fathom what the campaign is thinking to bombard their supporters like that.
Reply - stop - and the texts from that number will end.
My question is where is the best place to donate to support conservative Senate and House candidates in the future?
Is it Winred.com or somewhere else?
And no, I don’t want a Cruz/Paul linked organization. Don’t quiet trust those two.
