CHICAGO (CBS)– As voters head to the polls on Election Day, officials say scattered issues have been reported across the city.

According to Chicago Board of Election representative James Allen, there have been calls for scanner replacements at multiple polling locations Tuesday.

Voters can still cast ballots if the scanner is not operating. Voting will not be interrupted.

In the 38th Ward, a polling location was moved to 4624 West Madison, an Early Learning Center, after an issue with opening.

Other complaints throughout the city include calls for inactive equipment as well as polling places not opening on time.

Allen confirmed the late opening was at the Lawndale Christian Health Center, at 3860 Ogden Ave., and was due to an equipment issue. Voting continued at this location and the issue has been resolved.

Be a darn shame if all those dead folks can’t vote - maybe they should protest...

Illinois isn't even close to being in play, so this won't affect anything except final popular vote totals.

Now the crap going on in PA, OTOH...

Voting issues in Chicago....

I heard some guy dragging the river bottom for dead bodies who ws hired by the police happened upon the missing 25,000 1960 votes for Nixon. Oh, well. The JFK margin was one quarter of one vote per precinct over the US.

Once asked what if he had overcome the Mayor Daly corruption and had won Illinois and thus the election, Nixon said: “It doesn’t matter. I might have been the one to be assassinated.”

Note to anyone who brings up the valid point that the lost Nixon votes may hav been an urban leged: Please, I’m worried enough about the election today so don’t attack me. Thanks.

There’s a constitutional amendment on the ballot that will make it easier to raise the state income tax - the dead will be out in force today.

All of these cities and states who repeatedly have issues with voting machines, and other voter suppression issues, like polls not being opened when they’re supposed to, blocking verified poll watchers, etc., need to be heavily fined by the Federal government if the problem isn’t resolved in a timely manner. Every election, like clockwork, these Democrat-run cities and states have these types of issues. Enough is enough. Make them pay for their mistakes, and the problems will diminish quickly.

So weird it happens in liberal cities. Apparently Georgia is having issues to. I’m more worried about Georgia then Chicago.

It is harder for crack heads to figure out how to operate a voting machine I guess.

Seeing this around the country. Machines broken, we’ll scan your ballot later, honest.

One rural county in GA. Paper backups. No problem.

Are the bodies piling up at the door of the polls from black/black violence and no one can get through. No surprise. Bad enough they are only 13% of the vote but killing someone makes it easier to find a dead guy to vote. They’re already there anyway and Chicago has a history of this. Really convenient.

***************
Hmmmm...interesting scenario: Stack up the unscanned ballots, out of site of the voter. Double bubble all votes for President Trump, with the bubble for Biden.

Cancelled votes in the making?

This is Chicago.

Visited Chicago once years ago. Loved going to the City, and was a huge fan of Bonner the Outrider.

I remember my father telling me about the Daleys when I was young.
