Why Tucker Carlson Opened His Election Eve Program With a Photo(Butler PA rally)

Fox News’s Tucker Carlson began his Election Eve program on Monday with a single image from President Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, over the weekend. While he said the picture does not predict how the race will turn out, it is the perfect metaphor for the 2020 election the state of the U.S.

“Butler is like a lot of places you will find in this country once you head inland from the coasts,” he said. “It’s a former industrial town, the made Pullman railcars there for many years, but it’s been losing population for decades. They still have nice people in Butler. For $60,000, you can buy a decent house there. It’s a place you might be happy in, but our professional class is not impressed by Butler. They don’t consider Butler, Pennsylvania, or places like it, the future. To them, places like Butler are embarrassing relics of a past best forgotten, the men of Butler may have built this country and they did but they mean nothing to our leaders now.”

Carlson said no one in D.C., New York, or L.A. cared when suddenly large numbers of people in Butler started dying from overdoses. Things got so bad there that residents built a memorial at the center of town.

Where were all the circles and honking cars?

When I hear the honking cars, I snicker. AOC must be steaming at the carbon emissions from people using their cars.

If Trump wins and we finally start moving this country back towards its constitutional roots for the long term, I can see a history book 100 years from now featuring that photo. The caption will say "In the 2020 election, President Donald J. Trump rallied traditional Americans to reverse the trend of Marxist influence pervasive in the United States for decades. By the end of Trump's second term, the nation once again returned to its constitutional foundation".

We are indeed living during a historic time in America.

Some days ago I wondered about those circles being reused at each Biden uh you know the thing. Now that the campaign is over will they have any collectable value? :)

Tucker has really been a welcome. His shows have been thought provoking and eye opening.

Last night was no exception as he challenged the media to ask “why?” Why Butler? Why did 50,000 people, from a town that has been left to stagnate by the politicians, turn out to see Trump?

Americans are sick of the rioting sick of BLM, antifa, other thugs, elected governors, mayors etc. not doing their duty, allowing businesses to be destroyed, burning and looting...we've just had it with those that allowed it and encouraged it. Enough of the political trash!

Kneeling to BLM...Pelosi as we will remember her.

I find it hard to believe people broke all early voting records because they couldn’t wait to run out and vote for biden....it just doesn’t make sense.

Trump loves his supporters and they love him.
He spends every ounce of energy for them.
Trump is going to win.
Thanks Tucker, for telling the truth!

They wouldn't be doing it for Biden. They would do it because they hate Trump. Stop thinking that the 'rat vote is about Biden.

The media and ruling class and the ivory tower educators simply can’t stand normal Americans. I only hope there ae enough normal Americans to beat back this threat to our country, VOTE!

Tucker hasn’t missed a beat during this campaign. He has caused a lot of agita for the Biden crime family.

They love him often in spite of himself. They’re not deluded, they know exactly who Trump is, they love him anyway. They love Donald Trump because no one else loves them. The country they built, the country of their ancestors fought for over hundreds of years has left them to die on their unfashionable little towns mocked and despised by the sneering half-wits with finance degrees, but no actual skills, who seem to run everything all of a sudden.

Tucker eloquently nails it. Trump is the President of the Forgotten Man (great book, by the way).

I heard an good observation recently on the Tim Pool podcast. Interesting guy, by the way. Former Bernie Bro who voted for Obama, got disillusioned. Didn’t vote in 2016. Voted this year for Pres. Trump because of both his economic policies and the fact he has not embroiled us in new wars, but instead has fostered multiple peace deals in the Middle East.

Pool said, paraphrasing, “Who runs faster? Someone who is angry or someone who is scared?” The Biden vote is strictly because of anger. Those voting for Pres. Trump either really like what he has accomplished and/or are scared of what might happen in a Biden/Harris administration.

Tucker’s opening monologue last night was one for the ages. It perfectly described, in detail, how Trump voters and average hard-working Americans have been treated by the liberal elite, hollywood, academia and the political class. It was damning and everyone should read/hear it.

There is a difference in early ballots and early votes. Voting is something an individual sovereign of the American Republic does; ballot creation is something the enemies of the Republic do every election, in their effort to take over the Republic and cancel the individual sovereigns. It is treachery deserving a hangman’s rope for treason, yet it continues to escalate.

While Trump is a billionaire I never felt a class divide between us. He treats everyone with respect. I believe this to be the case for him all his life. He never belittled the lowest worker at a construction site. I sure we would have heard about it he did. He certainly has expectations about people doing their job and pulling their own weight - perhaps even down right demanding about. But that is a good thing. We know he works hard, just look at the schedule he has kept in the past several weeks, but he doesn't expect anyone to work harder than him.

Trump is at ease with people. Call that confidence. He wears a suit and his signature tie but still connects with small town folks and with farmers. He doesn't have to put on a pair of jeans and boots or drive around in a pickup truck to campaign events to fit in. When politicians do things like that I truly think people pick up on the phoniness.

Trump isn't going to change to impress people and he doesn't expect people to change to impress him. That is so antithetical to the left. They are constantly changing their stripes to impress one another and expect people to change to be one of them, but they are never happy with themselves or anyone else for that matter.

That's the thing about small town America. It doesn't change much and people from small town America don't expect city folks to change either.
