Michigan officials claim there have been 12 coronavirus outbreaks stemming from bars and restaurants, so now the state wants patrons to provide their name and phone number for future potential contact tracing.
The new rule from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services will go into effect on Monday, Fox News reported. Bars and restaurants will also be required to restrict the number of customers to 50 or fewer and allow no more than six people at a single table. Bars and restaurants that don’t follow the new mandate could be fined $1,000.

That ruling is illegal, unless it’s voluntary. If it’s “voluntary,” or mandatory, then it’s illegal.

So I called that phone number and some chick named “Jenny” answered!
I believe the same thing is happening surreptitiously at restaurants throughout the USA. The way you get on the waiting list is to give them your phone number. The way you look at a menu is to scan a QR code with your smartphone.
Incidentally there are a number of online services that will provide you with a dummy phone number that will receive texts and can be used for situations like this.

Wow my asshole governor in New Hampshire Rino
his Sununu just enacted this bs yesterday. He was a few days ahead of HalfWHit. I as a restaurant owner will never do that to my customers and i will never shut down again. Is there anyone out there that could see if Chris Sununus family has many business dealings with the Chinese Communists. I’m thinking his father and brother lobbied for Chinese interests or got bought off somehow through China. Is there anyone who might have any insight on that? Thank you.

As a Michigan FReeper I know that has been true for a long time. The Whitmer type Dems (her AG and Sec. of State, too) were this way before but then Covid shot them into strutting macho muscle flexing that hasn't stopped.

This has been a requirement in Shelby County Tennessee (Memphis area) for a while now.
My 17 year old daughter either makes something up or I write “Yo Momma” and the Shelby County Health Department’s phone number. I have never given truthful information.
