Ed Koch never missed an opportunity to tell his side of a story. When a newspaper or television report said something about him he saw as wrong or unfair, the late New York mayor invariably fired off a letter of complaint.
The habit was so pronounced that I once asked him why he bothered, especially when the issue was minor. His answer: If you don’t object, your silence is assumed to be agreement.
Attention, Joe Biden. This is why your silence in the face of serious allegations of corruption is highly suspicious. It makes you look guilty.
If you are innocent, why don’t you say so?
As a very strange presidential campaign enters the final days, one of its strangest features is taking center stage. The Democrats’ presidential nominee, who has spent most days in his Delaware basement, has not disputed charges that he was secretly involved in his family’s business schemes, including while he was vice president.
Doubly strange, Biden also has remained silent about the explosive claim by a former partner in one family venture. Retired Navy Lt. Tony Bobulinski told The Post and others that he met with Joe Biden in 2017 to discuss a partnership with Chinese executives tied to the ruling Communist Party, a deal where Bobulinski says the former vice president is the “big guy” who had a concealed 10 percent stake.
Biden’s failure to offer straightforward denials is baffling because the charges are serious enough to help President Trump. Yet even that prospect has not stirred the Biden campaign to action, nor has it deputized surrogates to make denials for him.
There is only silence. Instead of a thundering, “NO, Hell NO,” we get crickets.

Now that the FBI has interview Bobulinski, I expect that the Biden campaign will be able to craft some answers now.
Biden is simply the Trojan Horse for president Kamala.
If you issue a denial, that just propels the story into another news cycle.
Also, when you're guilty, it gets hard to keep all the lies straight.
With a media willing to just let it drop, it's better to stonewall anyway.

Wouldn’t an honest man, one with nothing to hide, be talking about nothing else? I’d be mad as hell, using every chance I had to disprove it. No “righteous indignation” from Joe, he just yells at people about everything.

Ordinarily I’d say this smacks of “If you’ve got nothing to hide why won’t you let me search your car ?”
Of course this is entirely different because we are talking about the very likely extreme corruption of a candidate for President of the United States.
Why do you keep prodding him to lie? He’s already clearly lied his eternal soul to a smoldering cinder with his “I never took a single penny..” blah-blah-blah. Wait until he’s placed under oath....if it ever comes to that.

So Trump did “absolutely nothing” about covid.
And his drug addled, influence peddling, child endangering kid only did “good things” his entire life.
And it’s all a “smear”, “Russian”.
Biden spent a lifetime getting automatically reelected in Delaware, so he just lies his butt off and thinks nothing of it.
The lack of denial is just an attempt to run out the clock until election day. Biden knows the media has his back and won't cover it so they're going to keep quiet while the media helps them cover it up so they can get through the election. After Tuesday it won't matter.
The DNC decided that none of the other candidates had a chance of winning so they forced everyone else out so that Biden would be the nominee. They are counting on irrational Trump-hatred (stoked incessantly for five years by the media) to pull Biden over the finish line. If he wins he will probably last longer than William Henry Harrison, but may be in office a shorter time than Garfield before he is put out to pasture.
After watching clips of Joe Biden’s antics as a U.S. Senator and VP over the years, Hunter Biden’s pathologies make so much sense to me. I’m sure he knows deep down inside that he’s the spawn of a criminal loser.
