As Hurricane Zeta approaches, three heavily Republican counties in Floridas Panhandle are curbing voting hours this week. In Escambia and Santa Rosa counties, early voting sites will close at 3 p.m. Wednesday and reopen at 11 a.m. Thursday. Okaloosa County early voting sites will close at 5 p.m. Wednesday and reopen at 9 a.m. Thursday. Normal early voting hours in Florida are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Several other Florida counties are under storm surge and tropical storm warnings. Zeta is expected to make landfall along the northern Gulf Coast on Wednesday with life-threatening storm surge, damaging winds and flooding, according to the National Weather Service. Republican voters have been outgunning Democrats at early voting sites in Florida, winnowing away at the Democratic advantage in vote-by-mail returns.

And they are all red counties..right? Figures!! The governor better be on top of this crap!!!
If they cant vote early, does that mean they wont vote on Election Day? Asking because it dont know if EV is an either or or not at all proposition.
I have to believe if they are unable to early vote, they can do it on Election Day. I think it’s the request for mail-in ballots that gets dicey with respect to Election Day.

Nah, You can always vote on Election Day if you didn’t vote early.
Those are the three counties on the far western end of the state. Solid red. It’s just a limitation in hours due to weather, it will end soon enough. Nothing to panic over. I doubt it will inconvenience very many people. And the current EVs are already more than the 2016 EVs.
Might be hard to vote in the middle of a driving rain storm. Might as well close.
The media is gloating over this, but the only possible significance in doing so is that if Trump loses Florida by only a small amount they can claim “IT WASN’T DEMOCRAT FRAUD (which of course it was), IT WAS THE HURRICANE!!”.
The voting hours in those 3 counties are only being slightly curtailed for a couple of days, and even if the people who would have voted at those times never do vote early, they can always do so on election day (barring other last-minute Democrat shenanigans).
The story is a complete nothingburger, just some media gloating and fraud-excuse preparation.
“””they can claim IT WASNT DEMOCRAT FRAUD (which of course it was), IT WAS THE HURRICANE!!”””””””””””
According to the media it will be caused by CLIMATE CHANGE.
I really believe most Republican voters will persevere and make sure their votes are cast.
Somehow I KNEW that this would pose a problem for Republicans.
Here’s a thought...why not allow people to decide for themselves?
Let’s stop treating people like infants.
ping——At 3 pm some panhandle counties are closing their early voting locations due to the incoming storm. Will affect EV numbers this evening. FYI.

By Thursday Morning it will be up in NW Georgia.
I agree. Been in Florida during a massive thunderstorm; I was driving. I could hardly see.
You just have to breathe and push along.
Everything is possible if you just stay calm.
we are losing a combined 20.5 hours of ev in Escambia, Santa Rosa and Okallosa counties.
It won’t stop them.
They’ll vote another day.
If this were extended to the election, yes, big deal.
It won’t be.
Arent they going to close New Orleans for a few days? That should help republicans in down ballots there.
I am sure they will vote on election day if they can’t early vote. And the polls are only going to be closed for a short time for early voting. Stop panicking.
How about making up the time by staying open later Thursday, Friday and Saturday?
I concur with your concern. However, I can imagine the msm headline “Racist white Greek hurricane inhibits minority voting.”
