Planned Parenthood CEO Whines After Barrett Confirmation: They Stole Ginsburg’s Seat

The CEO of the Planned Parenthood abortion corporation whined after the Senate confirmed Justice Amy Coney Barrett last night. The unhinged head of the nation’s biggest abortion company griped that Senate Republicans supposedly engaged in a “malicious theft” of Ruth Bader Ginsburrg’s seat.

“In the midst of a global health crisis, with more than 225,000 dead in this country, Mitch McConnell prioritized this sham process over passing desperately needed COVID relief — and he openly admitted it,” Planned Parenthood Action president Alexis McGill Johnson said in a statement after the vote. “Senate majority leadership has compromised the safety and well-being of Americans by ignoring this pandemic, and they’ve done it to confirm a Supreme Court justice who will be an active threat to our health and rights.”

Johnson went on to say that this “is a lifetime position, and this partisan, malicious theft of the people’s seat will be felt for generations to come.”

“For decades, this change in the court will threaten our civil rights, access to health care, freedom to marry, legal protections from discrimination, and reproductive health and rights,” Johnson continued.

“We are far from defeated,” Johnson said. “This phony confirmation process is over but this election is not. We deserve leaders who respect our wishes and who champion our health and rights — and we’re going to make absolutely sure these senators and Donald Trump know that.”

But leading pro-life groups hailed both Justice Barrett and the Senate Republicans who worked diligently to confirm her.

Carol Tobias, president of National Right Life, commented:

“On behalf of Americans who treasure the rights protected by the Constitution, including the right to life, we commend President Trump and Senate Republicans for their landmark achievement of placing three advocates of judicial restraint on the Supreme Court. They accomplished this in the face of increasingly rabid political threats from Democrat-aligned interest groups and their media allies, and escalating threats of attacks on the independence of the Supreme Court by many Senate Democrats. I speak for millions of Americans who believe that the President, Republican Leader Mitch McConnell, Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham, and the Republican Party collectively deserve our deepest gratitude and our energetic support.”

Some have objected to Senate action on the Barrett nomination on grounds that “millions of Americans have already voted” in advance of the November 3 general election.

NRL Senior Policy Advisor Douglas Johnson commented:

“Those who refer to this nomination and confirmation as ‘illegitimate’ speak constitutional nonsense and dangerous nonsense. Under the Constitution, two things are required to seat a Supreme Court justice — the President’s nomination, and the Senate’s consent; in 2016 the Senate exercised its constitutional prerogative to withhold consent. The 100 senators who voted today were elected by about 125 million Americans, and they were elected to represent their constituents at least until January 3, 2021–most for years longer. All 100 discharged that constitutional function today. The constituents of senators in cycle will very soon have the opportunity to express their approval or disapproval of their senators’ votes on Amy Coney Barrett. All of this is a fully legitimate exercise of the constitutional order.”

Today our nation gained a brilliant woman jurist on our highest court,” said SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “Justice Barrett’s confirmation marks a turning point in the fight to protect unborn children and mothers. The American people can now see a glimmer of light at the end of a dark tunnel, when the Supreme Court may finally return to the people the ability to enact laws that reflect their values and save lives.”

Dannenfelser added:

“This victory would not be possible without the unwavering leadership of President Trump, Leader McConnell, and our pro-life Senate majority. They have worked seamlessly to confirm three Supreme Court justices and 215 lower court judges. This legacy is on the ballot next week, as Democrats are hell-bent on expanding the Supreme Court and adding lower court judges if they win. We must re-elect President Trump and our Senate majority to preserve the Supreme Court and the integrity of the judiciary.”

A poll sponsored by Susan B. Anthony List and conducted by The Marist Poll shows that nearly two in three voters (61%) – including 63% of Independents and 31% of Democrats – oppose Joe Biden adding more justices to the Supreme Court if he is elected president.

Barrett was confirmed on a 52-48 vote with all Republicans except for Susan Collins voting to confirm her and all Democrats voting against her nomination.

“Rarely have we ever had a nominee as extraordinary as the one we have before us right now,” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said before the vote. “We’ve had a chance to witness this outstanding nominee. We’ve watched her in committee. She’s demonstrated she has the deep legal expertise, dispassionate judicial temperament and sheer intellectual horsepower that the American people deserve to have on their Supreme Court.”

“This outstanding nominee is exceptionally suited to this job, period. And I know we all know that. She is an exceptional nominee to the Supreme Court who will make the Senate and the country exceedingly proud,” he said.

Before the vote, Senator Ben Sasse, a Nebraska Republican, called out Democrats who played politics with Barrett’s nomination.

“I’ve heard now I think four speeches in a row implying that when Judge Barrett becomes Justice Barrett later tonight, that obviously means the end of health care in America. The last speech actually included this phrase, “A vote for Amy Barrett is a vote to end health care.” The speech said “A vote for Amy Coney Barrett is a vote to end health care.” That isn’t just preposterous, it is so destructive of the public good and of public trust… Please have the courage to come back next April, May and June and say you lied to the American people. You were just trying to scare them into voting and say what you were saying was B.S. Whoever writes these outside talking points – it’s really destructive and the Senators know better than to parrot this pap.”

“Judge Barrett ran circles around the Democrats’ failed attempts to slander her character, faith, and family during these hearings. They don’t like that Judge Barrett is going to do what judges are supposed to do – rise above politics and refuse to legislate from the bench. The polls show that Americans clearly support her confirmation. It’s time for Chuck Schumer to drop the shenanigans and get this done,” he said.

Leading pro-life groups strongly supported Judge Barrett and told LifeNews.com they were ecstatic that she received a positive confirmation vote.

Penny Nance of Concerned Women for America said, “A conservative, constitutionalist, pro-life woman at the Supreme Court is why we voted for Donald Trump. We congratulate Justice Barrett, and we are praying for her and her family. The task ahead will be a difficult one, but we have full confidence in her abilities as a jurist.”

“But ultimately, we must get back to the source of such a great addition to the Supreme Court: President Donald J. Trump. He has surpassed all our expectations when it comes to judicial nominations, and he has indeed delivered on making the judiciary great again. Americans will remember that going into this important election,” she added.

....

Barrett, a mother of seven, was a former law clerk to Justice Antonin Scalia. Like Scalia, Barrett describes herself as an “originalist” judge.

When it comes to abortion cases, Barrett has been on the pro-life side. She voted in 2016 to allow a hearing on a pro-life law from the state of Indiana that requires abortion centers to offer a proper burial or cremation for babies they kill in abortions. And in 2019, she voted to allow a hearing on another Indiana pro-life law allowing parents to be notified when their teenage daughter is considering an abortion so they can help her make a better decision for her and her baby.

There are seats made vacant by the death or retirement of a sitting Justice.

But there is no [Name] seat.

No, fools
Ginsberg, and her huge ego, believed she could wait until Hillary was elected, to get the “Right” person to succeed her. Never in her warped mind could she believe that Trump would win.

The Democrats need to stop using the courts to impose their agenda on people who never voted for it.

The commenters on that video say that these are unwanted babies when the interviewer clearly asks her about her demand of NO MORE BABIES for 10 years and brings up “what about women who WANT to have kids?”

The agenda is clear and only the genocidal deny it.

On top of which, didn't she promise to go to New Zealand if Trump won?
