Cruz: Hunter Biden attacks don't move 'a single voter'
The Hill ^ | 10/27/2020 | ALEXANDER BOLTON

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) says he doesn’t think that President Trump’s attacks on Hunter Biden will move even one voter.

Cruz told Jonathan Swan of Axios in an interview that Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s “best moment” in the Oct. 22 debate came when he brushed off Trump’s attacks on his family and turned to the camera to tell viewers that their families matter more.

“One of Biden’s best points was when he said all these attacks back and forth about my family and [Trump’s] family, they don’t matter. What matters is your family. That may have been Biden’s best moment, actually,” Cruz said.

” Joe Biden’s “best moment” in the Oct. 22 debate came when he brushed off Trump’s attacks on his family and turned to the camera to tell viewers that their families matter more.”

Ted’s a moron ... it was patently obvious that biden’s little homily about family “struggles” was the typical rehearsed, insincere bullshit that politicians who have zero ideas and could really care less used to love to use to try to emotionally sway stupid people by pretending that the gazillionaire elitist politician understands the trials and tribulations of regular folks, ... Trump pointed that out and said, “Joe, you can do better than that” ...

Cruz said the other night that the Big Tech Titans would definitely be subpoenaed on conservative Censorship BEFORE the Election.

Liar - I said the Republicans would undermine it - and they pushed it back to when it’s meaningless.

Don’t believe Cruz!

Au contraire, Ted - Hunter Biden and his dealings are huge news in the Chinese-American community, who had until recently been fed a steady diet of Trump mockery/hatred in Chinese language media. All of a sudden they have woken up, and realized that Biden intends to sell Taiwan out to China...and that's all they are talking about. Many Chinese-American and other Asian-American voters are suddenly taking another look at Trump, and realizing he is their only option.

Cruz is right. The average demo voter has a broken moral
Compass. Biden could swear allegiance to hitler and say he’s gonna bring back slavery and the average democrat voter will still vote for
Him. Leftism is a mental disorder.

I like Ted. He’s one of the best in Washington and in the Senate. He’s wrong on this. It is moving votes. It’s not the only thign moving voters, but it is moving them.

I don’t think many people care. Hell, I haven’t bothered to absorb the fine details. I bet no one ever sees jail.

But I don’t agree with Cruz that Biden scored points by defending Hunter or that Trump hurts himself in any way by attacking Hunter (other than it maybe not being the best use of time).

With all due respect Ted, POTUS does not talk about Hunter, he talks Joe and Biden family corruption. POTUS brings up the fact that Biden’s dealings make him a security risk to the people of the US. Which he very much is a risk.

So stuff a sock in it okay?

Maybe he is right and maybe I don’t completely agree but WTF is he compelled to say anything this close to the election?

>>It does not make Biden voters vote for President Trump instead but it does make potential Biden voters stay home in disgust.

Bingo!!! Especially when those long lines mean you're going to wait more than an hour.

-From the article...”Lauren Blair Aronson, a spokeswoman for Cruz, later clarified on Twitter that Cruz was speaking specifically about Trump’s exchange with Biden during the debate and that the senator thinks Hunter Biden’s business activity is cause for concern”. Wasn’t Biden the one who brought it up?

When Trump didn’t, and didn’t. Rather like the Seahawks meltdown when the Patriots didn’t call timeout in the Super Bowl.

The trouble with the way Trump brought it up was that it was done as a sort of ‘inside baseball’ reference, where you largely had to understand what was being talked about in order to understand what was being talked about. The initial impact was fairly low - but grows over time. Harping on it during the debate would have reduced the immediate impact of the debate, and they’d have missed the opportunity for other gems.
