Occam answers this.

And here I thought Barr was all talk and no action. Apparently on these items mentioned in the article, he even lacks the talk.

Both Wray and Barr have destroyed any sense of confidence in their respective departments. Terrible leadership.

Its clear that they serve masters other than the American people. Trump will have to settle some ‘family business’ after the election.

‘Cuz ultimately, Barr is a swamp creature himself.
He might not be gator or a water moccasin, but he’s still a frog or crayfish, and at home in the muck. He’s not going to help drain the swamp, just to make a better place in it for himself.

Barr’s job is to keep Trump from killing the Deep State. Barr’s job is also to keep the Deep State from killing Trump. He is succeeding rather admirably in this job - though his mission is not in the long-term best interest of the Republic.

My guess is that Senate Republicans have warned, urged, and begged Trump not to roil the waters on these issues before the election or control of the Senate will be lost.

It may be that Trump and crew know they will be re elected and will take the house and keep the senate. Their political strength will be much stronger then. Also, the case is building and getting stronger against the swamp daily. An example of that being the Biden laptop, which the Trump team has kept secret from even us for well over a year. There is more going on than meets our eyes so far.

That is my optimistic/hopeful synopsis. You don’t wanna hear my pessimistic whiney synopsis probably...

I imagine Wray will be gone the moment the election is certified.

Simple. Wray is doing the dirty work while Barr is the public face that pretends to be so very upset with everything to give Wray air cover to get the job done.

I will also say that if Durham doesn’t have a pile of indictments ready to hit the street November 4, that Barr is on borrowed time. Trump likes Barr and has given him the benefit of the doubt. But Trump knows they had the laptop during his impeachment. Heads are going to roll.

FBI Director Christopher Wray works for Barr.

The org chart has Dir FBI reporting to DAG (Rosen), who reports to AG (Barr).

Rosen should be put on the spot, too, maybe more than Barr.

“Why Does Barr Let Wray Lie and Flout the Law?”

Because he’s in on it.

No action before the election, that has been obvious for 3 months.

Unless Wray, Barr and others are fired after the election, no action after the election either.

Re: "President Trump has been very clear about his desire and directives to declassify and release all materials related to the Russia hoax."

Sorry, that is completely false.

Trump can pull up most of the Russian documents on his Oval Office computer and post them straight into the White House website.

There are at least another 50 FOIA requests and lawsuits, some of them pending for years, that would politically benefit the GOP and Trump.

And Trump does nothing.

Why?

Incomprehensible negligence.

Hire a DC swamp-weasel, get a DC swamp-weasel.

The Farmer and the Snake

One winter day, a farmer found a snake by the roadside, stiff and motionless with cold.

“If you put me inside your shirt,” the snake said, “your body will make me warm and I won't freeze to death.”

“Oh, I know your kind,” replied the farmer. “If I pick you up, you will bite me.”

“Oh no,” the snake objected. “Why would I do such a thing, if you are good enough to help me?”

So the farmer had compassion on the snake, and taking it up, he put it inside his shirt. The warmth quickly revived the snake, and resuming its natural instincts, it bit its benefactor, inflicting on him a mortal wound. “Oh,” cried the farmer with his last breath, “why did you bite me? You promised you wouldn't.”

“Ah,” said the snake. “So I did. But you knew I was a snake when you picked me up.”

I believe Barr agreed to come back into the Department of Justice fold because he hated seeing that department turned into a political weapon by the party in control. Some of you seem to be demanding that he weaponize it again. Judicial Watch has rights to obtain information but it has to go through administrative channels and that often takes a long time. Barr’s job is to see that the Department follow the law as it exists now. In the meantime he is seeing precedents set in cases JW is pursuing—and that is good. Less trouble next time.

I understand the frustration but I am going to wait and see what happens after the election before I string Barr up.
