Among the most celebrated veterans of the Vietnam War, retired US Army Col Bruce Crandall is best known for his actions of Nov 14, 1965, when he flew 22 missions in an unarmed helicopter into enemy fire to evacuate more than 70 wounded & bring ammunition and supplies to US forces under the command of then-Colonel Hal Moore.

My dad flew off carriers as a Marine pilot and my uncle flew Huey’s there as well.

Thanks, ETR, for the link regarding MOH pilot Bruce Crandall. What a pilot!!

We honored him in 2007 in the Hall of Heroes. I need to find it and repost it.
