Sorry if this is a dupe. Did due diligence search and found nothing. Anyway, RIP to a great songwriter.

We saw him perform in Juneau, Alaska back in the late 80’s - small venue and a good show.

Anyway, RIP to a great songwriter. Amen to that! I bet he did not have too many fans here in Jersey, but I sure was one of them. I loved his gonzo style.

We saw his Christmas show at Gruene Hall a couple of years ago. Sober, funny, engaging and talented. A great memory.

There was actually one thread back on 10/24:

But no worries, Jerry Jeff is worth AT LEAST two threads. :-)

78

Pretty good considering how hard a life he lead during some of his years.

Love that song. It’s a hokey tune but catchy as hell. RIP, Jerry Jeff.

A red rose, left in rebrembance of Jerry Jeff....on the front doors of Gruene Hall, this morning.

Jerry Jeff played many a show, at Texas' oldest dance hall.

😢 RIP

One of my music teachers played for Jerry for a few years. The stories about Jerry sometimes being too drunk to stay on a stool and play are true. My teacher went on to play for the Dixie Chicks, who screwed him, and now plays for Neil McCoy.

Saw him in Eugene, we were up at the front row sharing a bottle of Jack Daniels, he reached down and took a pull. He got busted that night for driving the wrong way on I-5.
