On Thursday, The Detroit News endorsed Republican John James over incumbent Democrat Gary Peters for U.S. Senate.
It is an honor to have the endorsement of one of Michigans most prestigious and well-read publications, James said in response to the endorsement. Our state and nation are currently at a crossroads, and Michigan has the choice between a combat veteran or a career politician, a war fighter or a gaslighter. Its time for Michigan to have effective leadership in the Senate where no voice will be left out.
It appears that Twitter isnt too happy about this endorsement and is warning users who attempt to share it that headlines dont tell the full story. The platform suggests that users read the article before they retweet it.

You have to give Twitter some credit; theyre going down swinging!
The headline is the story.
This is clearly the act of a publisher. It is well past time to slap Big Tech silly by curtailing their 230 protections.
For those of you who don’t know, John James is black.
How RAAAAAAAACIST of them!
Censorship is ugly, no matter who is doing it.
So the a-holes at Twitter are helping Peters use his white privilege to defeat this fine young African American male. For shame.
The trending topics on twitter are a sick joke now.
And just coincidentally, the Detroit News endorsement is behind a paywall.
Is this the same Twitter where people think coyote the animal carries Mexican children over the border?
Is she for real?
Yup! And she’s a freakin’ lawyer.
Yeah, but he is the WRONG kind of black person.
They know they are toast when we win so they dont care what they have to do to stop us.
To the best of my knowledge they are still blocking the NY Post.
That news story is not a good place to plant your flag IMO.
And let the lawyers have at them.
Twitter’s starting to suck.
