A Federal Leasing and Development Ban Threatens America’s Energy Security and Economic Growth, Undermines Environmental Progress
American Petroleum Institute ^ | September 2020 | API

Energy produced on federal lands and waters plays a critical role in America’s energy revolution, accounting for 12% of U.S. natural gas production and nearly a quarter of U.S. oil production.

Here’s what’s projected to be at stake for U.S. energy leadership if a federal leasing and development ban is enacted according to new analysis prepared by OnLocation using EIA’s National Energy Modeling System (NEMS) which is used to produce their Annual Energy Outlook.

Nationwide, 90% of wells currently are fracked, and in New Mexico hydraulic fracturing takes place in both the San Juan and Permian Basins.

Biden has pledged to ban fossil fuel leasing on federal lands.

Look at this guy, yoe, a real smart$$. He didn’t read the article or he would have known there really is no article.

There’s no mention of anyone, in the brochure.

Your Question is valid, of course, Nifster.

But, we can assume Biden, because of GND.

No, but there’s no indication a ban has been proposed by anyone or any policy other than the Marxist power grab through the Green New Deal, at least not on a large scale that is.

Looks like my assumption is correct:

https://www.spglobal.com/platts/en/market-insights/latest-news/natural-gas/081220-us-election-drillers-acting-fast-on-federal-wells-ahead-of-potential-biden-ban

“While many US oil and gas producers have slowed drilling activity to a bare minimum in response to low prices, operators holding federal permits have boosted activity ahead of a potential ban expected if presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden wins November’s election.”
