In Thursday's debate, Joe Biden continually repeated the phrase "pay the price" or "pay a price" (at least eight times) when referring to foreign policy.
Biden: "If I am elected, they [foreign countries such as China and Russia] will pay a price. They will pay a price. It has been overwhelmingly clear this election."
This was subtle but clear message to the governments of those countries, a dog whistle of sorts:
If Biden is elected, they will need to "pay the price" to deal with him.
This was a missed moment for the President. Trump should have jumped on to it immediately: "Pay a price? How much, Joe?"
"What price will they have to pay to you or your son Hunter?"
"How much will you ask those countries to give to you in exchange for whatever you offer them?"
"When you were vice-president, your son collected millions from China for 'access' to you. The Ukrainian prosecutors 'paid a price' for threatening to investigate your son's business dealings."
"How much more money will you extort from foreign countries, Joe? How much will they have to pay in bribes to you and your corrupt family?"
"Pay a price. Pay the price." You couldn't have said it better, Joe. Your message of corruption and bribery is loud and clear.

If you want access to Joe Biden, you must pay the price!
It means they will have to pay Hunter.
That is the mantra: "Pay the price. Pay the price."
"To my son Hunter. Pay the price."
That was my thought. Pay to play
President Trump uses that phrase, too.
Only, he is very specific about it...China must “pay the price” for unleashing the stupid pandemic. China must “pay the price” for unfair trade practices.
In other words...he is demanding that other countries “pay the price” on the behalf of the American people.
Quite the contrast.
Yes.
But when Biden uses it, it reeks with irony.
"Pay the price. Pay the price. To my son Hunter, pay the price!"
Maybe the Trump campaign could use your idea for an ad. I don’t know who you’d send it to, but you make a lot of sense.
Thanks. I would love to share this with the Trump campaign.
Does anyone here know how to get in touch with them?
Or war.
Remember Herr Hillary and the saber rattling of war with Russia during the 2016 election.
Democrats are only anti-war when it suits them.
Otherwise..they threaten people with paying a price for not doing what they want.
Good luck!!
Trump did just fine without going into word games.
As in taxes (for the American people)?
Is he saying he wants to get America embroiled in yet another war?
I think our nation’s best deserve a break. Enough bloodshed.
He didn’t zing Biden in that way, but Trump did repeat over and over that Joe is all talk and no action.
The price being is $millions in tokens of appreciations paid into a discreet Hunter Biden slush fund
That is the mantra: “Pay the price. Pay the price.”
“To my son Hunter. Pay the price.”

Which is why Biden can say truthfully that **he** never took any money from a foreign source.
Yup. That sort of thing worked well for Clinton. But Clinton was an unusually good liar, and the 1990s were a different time. I think voters today are sophisticated enough to see that Joe is a very rich man and the money came from foreign sources. Having his son as a middleman does not convince people that Joe never took any money from a foreign source. It just shows that Joe was running a rather sophisticated criminal enterprise.
Clintons friend Jonnie Trie ... “You have to put in money to get through the gate.”
just another version of the Dem money laundering enterprise.

That’s just junk-yard Joe trying to sound like a tough guy.
