Damn white (and Asian which somehow are left out of this article) for working and studying hard in school. Shame on you.
And, eliminating testing which will indicate who’s good and who’s a liberal is not fair?
Maybe their dad’s could have guided them and taught them...
Oh wait...
I know a lot of kids in the projects in brooklyn.
Since many are barely passing and quite a few don’t even finish high school, the STEM classes aren’t at the foremost of their thoughts.
I have never seen school stressed less anywhere else in my life.
Oh, please. Instead of the worn out excuses, why not take some responsibility for once and own up to the fact that you made bad choices. Time to quit blaming everyone else for your problems.
Anyone in the industry knows just how easy it is for minorities to get hired. All companies are hungry for them. They don’t have to be good. They just need to be interested.
Very few seem interested.
And that is my fault, how?
All I can say is that my school counselors had no influence in the path I chose. When I was 16, I had an Advanced Biology teacher in high school who sparked my interest in human body science. I worked for over 40 years in cancer detection and I was good at my job.
It saddens me that too many of our young people are focused on blaming others for their own choices. I guess the Lib Controlled Education System has taught them that whatever happens, it is always someone elses fault. What an empty way to drift through life.
Ask not for whom the Bell Curve tolls. ..
How is that my fault
White privilege. Duh.
What nonsense. I have a natural interest in science, math, engineering and an inherent lack of interest in language, arts, literature, sociology, etc. Some school administrator trying to push me into basket weaving would never overcome my innate mental inclination to exploring math, science, engineering.
Enrolling in real engineering is easy, doing the math and science not so much. It is not possible for most people. Just like I was not mentally disposed to be a lawyer or physician - both of those are very difficult and not in my natural interest and abilities.
If Black and Latino(?) are capitalized, White must be also.

Maybe Alphina should wonder why her grandmother didn’t stress the importance of those classes to her. I’m stereotyping, as the typical urban black is raised by grandmother, while dad is unknown and mom is turning tricks.
Always the victim. I’m sick of this horse pucky.
ISWYDT.....................
Sadly the joke is on all of these kids. Take the STEM courses in high school, get a computer science degree in college go for a hi tech company after graduating. A year later get replaced by a lower paid H-1B visa worker
This is the absolute truth. MNCs are playing pokeman with any minority and grievance group. They prioritize optics over anything else
Miss Kamala had all the choices in her hands. All she had to do was pass the entrance exams and work like hell.
Nobody is or should be handed anything - you dont want unqualified engineers involved in the design process.
You either have the talent or you dont.
? So she was PREVENTED from taking engineering? BS
Wilmington, Isn’t that Joe and Corn Pop’s town?
