More than 50 former intelligence officials said emails alleged to have been found on a laptop belonging to Hunter Biden show signs of a Russian disinformation operation.
Several of the signers have endorsed Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, according to Politico, which first reported the letter. The letter states that its signers do not have new information about the emails and their authenticity.
“We want to emphasize that we do not know if the emails, provided to the New York Post by President Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani, are genuine or not and that we do not have evidence of Russian involvement — just that our experience makes us deeply suspicious that the Russian government played a significant role in this case,” the letter, released Monday, states.

Why would the Russians want to help America?
The intelligence community doesn’t exactly have a stellar reputation. They’ve become politicized like all of the other government agencies. The fact that 50 former intelligence officials would publicly criticize the president makes it political and just further erodes their credibility.

Screw them. The DNI and the head of the FBI have both said this did not come from the Russians.

With minimal effort one could find 50 “intelligence officials” who for three years supported the fiction that the Russkies put Trump in the presidency, even though a Mueller commission stacked with Democrat operatives couldn’t even fabricate any evidence for that plot, let alone substantiate it with facts.
If these guys think this is Russian disinformation, I’m glad they’re FORMER intelligence officials. Giuliani and his attorney checked some of the emails on Hunter’s computer that he had sent or received and verified that they were also on the computers of the recipients/senders. So the Russians would have had to not only plant false emails on Hunter’s computer but also on the computers of those with whom he had correspondence. Possible I suppose, but not very likely.

There is a reason these are FORMER officers. Hopefully they have lost their clearances and access and remain FORMER.
The letter sounds like a devilishly clever disinformation operation mounted by Russian assets to deflect attention from Russia by leading people to believe it was the Russians. Quite fiendish, actually.
