WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump portrays the hundreds of people arrested nationwide in protests against racial injustice as violent urban left-wing radicals. But an Associated Press review of thousands of pages of court documents tell a different story.
Very few of those charged appear to be affiliated with highly organized extremist groups, and many are young suburban adults from the very neighborhoods Trump vows to protect from the violence in his reelection push to win support from the suburbs.

So, the Associated Press (AP) has no issue with rioters beating up holders of AP press badges and torching AP offices...because the perpetrators are not leftist radicals.

I think another term for those who ARE affiliated with left wing thugs is “leaders”. The others are just “running dogs” (to use a Cold War Chinese label).

We agree, most of those folks are not organized enough to get the toothpaste on their brush in the morning.
How does one determine if someone is “affiliated with highly organized extremist groups?” Do you look for a membership card in their wallet? Or is it sufficient for someone to participate in one of their “protest” meetings and commit a crime on their behalf?
Well, if it’s just local ‘youts’ then I guess it’s okay then ...

“AP found”. Right there I can tell you they only looked where they knew they would find what the wanted.
There is also the whole matter of police in different cities being told to stand down. I can see where in those places a few arrests were made just for show.
