Up until this weekend, the Democratic victory narrative has been this: Dems will outperform in early and mail in voting. Republicans, leerier to mail-in voting, will opt for in person voting and will outperform on election day. However, in the end, the in-person voting will not be enough to overcome the massive early voting numbers by the Democrats.
This weekend that narrative shattered in some key states. It’s absolute panic.
Politico’s lead story today contains this revealing quote about many anxiety-ridden memos in Democratic offices:
Michigan is chief among the Democrats’ worries. With 25% of the total vote in, compared to 2016, Republicans have a slim advantage heading into Election Day. It’s expected a rush of ballots from Republicans, leerier of mail voting, will be cast in-person on Nov. 3.
We’re know election night. it won’t be close.
Could have been ballot harvesting. You don’t really know how someone voted until the votes are counted. The democrats could be sending in harvested republican ballots but voting for the democrat that is how California did it.

Lets just say it...if you measured Bill Clinton intensity, Obama intensity, Hillary intensity....there hasn’t been any real public feeling except through social media or the news media. Weirdest year for the Democratic Party in decades.
It wouldn’t surprise me if Trump flips 200k votes in California from 2016 results, or he wins Oregon & Washington. So many disenchanted Democratic voters. The riots were a five-star screw-up....Hunter Biden was the weakest link of Joe’s campaign, and the Twitter/Facebook ‘kids’ demonstrated six-year old behavioral activity.
I always thought the silent majority were lazy republicans who did not feel as motivated like getting out the house after work to vote.
This deserves its own thread. It would be so awesome to flip CA despite all the cheating.
I would not call it panic, but mobilizing their plantation to vote twice, once by mail and second in person on election day.

We were told on this site about the “great” Republican registration numbers and ev in 2018 and the predictions flew around here about keeping the house etc. Including from you.
However the R votes never materialized in 2018 at the voting booth and in some purple districts the R’s went for the Dem.
Prepare for anything.
Doubt that is what the silent majority is, especially this year. I suspect the lines will be much longer than usual and that there might be harassment afoot. Or that Gretchen will try to pull sone sort of COVID crap.
There is reasonable fear that conservatives will be disenfranchised.

The democrats’ objective is to keep the counting going and delay naming a winner until after inauguration day.

Even 10 percent going Trump would be a very helpful number.
I pray this is true. I am still very, very concerned about Vote Fraud - as the Democrats have had 4 years to plan their criminal operation.

Well the idea is that Rs are voting so overwhelmingly on election day that a higher number than usual is to be expected since Ds are voting by mail at a much higher rate than usual.

Exactly. Democrats have always underperformed their voter registration totals in Florida because for a long time the Democrats were effectively the only party in Florida that had any chance of winning. So even conservatives like my parents would register as Democrats and then the real battle would be in the Democrat primary.
There are still some legacy Democrats like that in Florida who will vote Republican for president.
