Digits '8645' were displayed in the background during an appearance on NBC's 'Meet the Press' Sunday
Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has been accused of encouraging assassination attempts on President Trump after displaying “8645” in the background of a national television interview Sunday.
Appearing on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” the Democratic governor spoke from Lansing, Mich., about her state’s coronavirus restrictions and slammed Trump’s response to the pandemic, all while the digits “8645” in bubble letters were perched by a house plant on a coffee table behind her. The numbers prompted a reaction from one of the Trump campaign’s verified Twitter accounts.
“Governor Gretchen Whitmer displayed an '86 45' sign during her TV appearance,” Trump War Room tweeted, adding: “86 can be shorthand for killing someone.”

The dems boxed themselves into a corner in that they had to pick a woman to be VP. If polling was good for Whitmer, Biden crew would have picked her..

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has 86’d small businesses but not big businesses, 86’d middle class Michiganders, 86’d church services, 86’d recreational boating except for her husband, and 86’d economic recovery. Is it really any surprise she want’s to 86 President Trump and his millions of supporters.

There she is...The Michigan Medusa...the most EVIL governor in the history of Michigan...and we’ve had some bad ones both R & D. George Romney comes to mind (yeah Mitten’s daddy)...but the current PSYCHOPATH is the absolute worst evah. Great state. Worst governor ever.
I’m familiar with the phrase “86 the deal”, meaning to kill the deal.
“86” means to get rid of. Assassination is a stretch, a big one.
It still means kill someone. 86 means 80 miles out and 6 feet deep. Its how the mob would get rid of people. Drive them out 80 miles into nowhere, make them dig their own grave, then beat them newrly to death and bury them alive!
That may be the etymology but the usual colloquial use has been to toss something away. At least that’s how I’ve seen it used most of my life.
None of this changes the fact that Whitmer is a toobinhead.
