To bad the child didn't.
BTW Santana did not write Black Magic Woman, Peter Green did.

Kid would be over 40 years old now. What if he would have been an icon of morality and goodness for the world. I liked Fleetwood Mac, but that would have been a great trade-off: a wonderful human being instead of Fleetwood Mac.
One of the tragedies is that we will never know. . . .
Buckingham it is.
I’ve always been fascinated by Buckingham’s odd (to me) way of playing. No way am I a guitar player, but it seems he has two to three methods of playing frequently mixed together. Much of it reminded me of the way Grandpa Jones played the banjo on Hee Haw. My dad said Jones’ style was called “clawhammer”.
My sister is the executive director of a theater in our hometown and has been quite successful in landing a host of “big names” over the years. She had Lindsey Buckingham there several years ago. My sister, ever being the diplomat, told me has was “ummm...difficult”.
“BTW Santana did not write Black Magic Woman, Peter Green did.”
Good on Carlos Santana that he ALWAYS acknowledged it.
Here is Carlos Santana WITH Peter Green playing Black Magic Woman at the induction of Santana into the Rock and Roll HOF:
Very sad. I didn’t know she killed 4 of her babies. Already hated every song she sings except the ones with Tom Petty.
Stevie Nicks... Feh
Was waiting to see a post like this. FM released it’s 1st album with Nicks 1975. Heart released it’s breakthrough album same year. So no Stevie...it’s not true there were no other bands out there with 2 women writing and singing their own music. And to top you, one played lead guitar in Heart!
Four more kids in the world, AND Stevie Nicks wouldn’t have sung.
WIN / WIN
Exactly. I have one of their albums from 1968. It’s a completely different style of music that the later stuff. It took a long time to find the CD version.
Nicks just proved again that some people are okay with human sacrifice in trade for bettering their careers.
Interesting. We have now discovered that the worth of a human life is a few dozen third-rate pop songs.
Sick. Sad. She sacrificed her child’s life for fame. I won’t be listening to her music anymore. Prayers for her soul, and the soul of her dead child.
Also, for what it's worth, by 1979, Fleetwood Mac was already past the apex of their career. "Rumours" had been out for two years and "Tusk" was already in the can. So even that argument doesn't hold up. So we might have missed out on the "Mirage" album if Stevie went ahead and had her kid. Big deal.
Make that prayers for the souls of her dead children.
And if her mama had gotten an abortion there would have been no Stevie Nicks and no Fleetwood Mac.
Wonder if Stevie is glad to be alive.
I knew people on 1989 who burned her albums because they thought she was a witch or satanist.
Maybe they were right after all.
Maybe those four babies were sacrifices to the false gods of her music for her success.
And the downside was?
All things considered, we could have survived without the landslide bringing it down.
