A U.S. District Judge in San Diego who has issued rulings in two separate lawsuits challenging Californias strict gun control measures will take up another weapons-related case on Monday, sparking criticism from gun-control groups who pro-gun advocates have been given an unfair advantage.
Judge Roger Benitez has twice ruled in favor of gun rights: in a case that challenged Californias ban of high-capacity magazines, and another case mandating background checks for buying ammunition, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported.
On Monday, he will oversee a case challenging several state laws regulating and defining assault weapons. He is overseeing another case challenging the states prohibition on owning batons, billy clubs, and blackjacks.

Truly random draws will see occasional streaks. It is the way of things.
What are these guys worried about? Roberts said all Judges were equal and impartial.
About time our side started judge-shopping too.

This stuff is what is making tax-paying, freedom-supporting, USA-loving citizens (oops, I am biased) into felons.
As opposed to...
Anti-Second Amendment judge.
Anti-First Amendment judge.
Anti-Bill of Rights Entirely judge.
I see how it works...
Yes — I am crying a river for the freedom-haters. Glad they get to see how it feels.
sure didnt complain when the 9th circuit kept handing them everything they wanted
I note the Leftists never complained when the Ninth Circuit
Court of Appeals ruled on cases for decades, stifling any
chance of this state getting back on track.
SCOTUS has already slapped down (by a 9-0 vote) the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court's ruling on this very subject.

They never cared how often the Hawaiian judge ruled.
yes if you carry a baseball bat in your car its best to have a glove and ball with it...plausible deniability
California has laws against sticks?

If you have a baseball bat in your car, better have a mitt and ball also. And it helps to have any more ‘evidence’ of being a baseball or softball player.
Judge Benitez is probably the most solid, constitution supporting District Judge in CA. Born in Havana, Cuba and no Ivy League education. Local boy, San Diego State grad. Unfortunately at 69, he’s probably too old for a seat on the 9th Circus.
pro Constitution judge you mean
I have any Benitez on the 9th Circuit, followed by appointment to the USSC as soon as theres a vacancy.
