The feckless Republican Congress could have passed this quite easily from 2016-2018. Of course, they did nothing.

Trump can only sign laws that come to his desk. It was the Republicans in Congress who did nothing.

“I do think I hear the sound of a little clickbait though.”

Nope. You’re just delusional as always. Also, a little psychotic in that you see ‘clickbait’ in every article posted. I post about 5 articles a year and you see clickbait in every one of them. Is the clickbait in the room with you right now? Can we see it too?

I doubt Paul Ryan and the rest wouldn’t have got it out of the House.

>>Major issue with some of us!<<

Right? It sux for those who are traveling on vacation and carry their weapon for protection. Entering a wacko leftist state could put you at risk of arrest/prosecution.

About time....That's what the Bill of Rights say...and it's applicable to every person legally here.

Like all Rights, there have to be REASONABLE limitations...you can't kill people and expect to keep that right.

Look at the word "infringed" as "confiscate" and it makes sense.

They would have needed 60 votes in the Senate.

I don’t want to be limited to concealed carry.

I understand. If states require a dadgum permit, at least they could do like Tennessee and make it a Handgun Carry Permit. Valid for both concealed and open carry.

I don’t think this would happen even if the Republicans took back the house, too many rinos.

Sounds good to me. I don’t even have a gun, but one of the reasons for that is that I travel a lot (including hiking through places where you’d feel better to be armed) and have always worried that if I had a gun that was legal in one state, it might not be legal in another, say, if I got stopped for an illegal left turn or some such thing.

ImVho, NATIONAL CARRY is just as necessary to LIBERTY as FREE SPEECH or the other freedoms that are simply ENUMERATED in the Bill of Rights.

ALL of those FREEDOMS existed long before the BoR, as they are HUMAN RIGHTS.

As long as it isn’t scaled to the lowest common denominator.

I like it. A first amendment example: What if I were free to report a story from NY, but someone in CA was able to suppress it without recourse?

Reciprocity isn't enough and limiting it to a law signed by legislators gives them power they don't have as clearly defined in the Constitution. This nation is instead long overdue for nationwide constitutional carry and Federal lawsuits against states that violate the rights of their resident citizens and traveling citizens as well.

Could you imagine telling citizens that their right to free speech had to be approved by an agent of their State and may not apply in a neighboring State?
