A person found a pile of discarded USPS mail, including 112 absentee ballots for the upcoming election, on Thursday.
A statement from a spokesman for the U.S. Postal Service Office of Inspector General said the ballots, as well as two political advertisements, were already returned to the USPS and will be delivered to customers today.
The statement said the discarded mail was intended for delivery in the Jeffersontown area, the 40299 zip code in particular.
Below is an excerpt from the statement from Special Agent Scott Balfour:
Has the postal delivery person been fired yet? Thought not.
I tracked my AZ mail in ballot. They received it, and verified the signature. AZ has a mature system that seems to work well. Our problem is a County Recorder in Maricopa who plays with deadlines and additional voting sites, and attempted to allow names to be crossed off ballots and “corrected” (that got kyboshed, thank God).
This is just a myth.
Whoever dumped them is an amateur. Typically, they would be destroyed, spoiled, or updated with dem votes and held back until needed.
I tracked my Colorado mail in ballot. It was received, verified and accepted. In Colorado Go to https://colorado.ballottrax.net Answer few questions and get the results. They will call you and text you on changes. Good way to track the ballot. My vote will count!
But will the person who found and returned the mail be arrested for tampering/interfering with the mail?
Nearly every day we see more articles of ballots/mail found in ditches and dumpsters.
Is the USPS experiencing that must incompetence in their mail carriers?
It is beyond ridiculous.
So William Longfellow Wilkerson III 's vote was altered to allow one by recent arrival Abdullah Al-Ahmid Arafat. Makes sense. A spelling typo corrected.
How is it that our best and brightest Republican representatives are okay with allowing another 600,000 USPS employees to handle our votes this year???
If we lose, its all on them for allowing it, not us.
The difference is the publicity. I knew stories about this long ago including one of my own opened mail sent ack to me by a rival postal workers who found my mail in a cannister “real illegal” he told me.
My sister in law lived in Mexico City in the 1980s, playing violin in the Mexico City Philharmonic. She said fellow musicians told her: “Don’t let relatives mail you anything. The postal workers here figure if there is no cash, no gift card and nothing valuable in an envelope or box, then they may as well deliver it to the addressee. In disgust.”
My fear is that this is a set-up...
“Oh look, we just found a big pile of discarded ballots” (happen to be for Biden)
With all these discarded ballots and mail being found - how much wasn’t found that is now in the landfill?
Anyway - more gaslighting per Chuck Todd.
Jeffersontown would be a more Republican area of Louisville.
What do you expect when the Postal Workers Union voted to support Biden?
