They were the most Trumpiest Town of NJ in 2016 75% Trump 25% Crooked Hillary
50 point margin
They also expanded into Orange County, around Monroe and bought up most of the resort and bungalow colonies further up in Sullivan.
WOW!
Too bad the orthodox are only a small minority of the Jewish population which votes over 73% Dem. Only blacks vote Dem in higher percentage than Jewish people. Even hispanics vote for Republicans more than them.
Lakewood, NJ is the home of one of the most important Orthodox Jewish yeshivas in the country, and THAT crowd is solidly conservative. I believe they would shun anyone they found out voted for Biden. Murphy, Schmurphy.
Shifted about 20 years ago and is gaining steam.
ummm.... OK.
Former Protestants who go the same path merely renounce their former religion. Unitarians and members of liberal Protestant churches still identified as Christians but never called themselves cultural Protestants.
Modern Orthodox are a majority of Orthodox Jews and its not hard to find abundant Trump Derangement among them.
Jarrod and Ivankas New York rabbi, Haskel Lookstein, is a perfect example.
I believe 83% for ultra-Orthodox (hareidi), but no way is that an overall Orthodox number.
Who normally vote Democrat.
“a huge majority of the Orthodox Jews are big Leftists first.”
Then it is crystal clear that you dont have the slightest clue what an orthodox Jew is, especially since you are in SF where there really isnt any significant orthodox jewish community.
Palo Alto has a very small community.
Think Lakewood, Teaneck, Passaic NJ for orthodox communities.
the important issue is that:
“The American Enterprise Institute said the poll reflects a 29 percent point swing toward Trump since his first election in 2016.”
ALL of my Jewish relatives are Dems! Made the move from MA much easier.
You’re dreaming.
“Unfortunately 95% of American Jews are JINOs Jews in Name Only
Your source for this ridiculous percentage? That is a very large brush you are painting with.
How small is it? If the Orthodox Jews are 15 to 20% of the Jewish electorate it could have an impact in NY or NJ.
Rockland County went for Bush in 2004.
and that is the first thing that comes to mind when someone mentions Rockland County.
Not one.
