Court refuses to reinstate (FSU) student government leader removed for Catholic beliefs: It would trigger people

Jack Denton will get back his salary as student senate president for the remaining few weeks of his term. What he wont get back is his job as student senate president.
A federal court refused to reinstate the Florida State University student to the position he was removed from because of his Catholic beliefs, saying it could produce tumult and chaos.
U.S. District Judge Allen Winsor essentially ratified the hecklers veto issued by the student government when it removed Denton (above) and refused to let him appeal his removal.
Some might say this only rewards the senate for its discriminatory and retaliatory actionthat it allows students to get away with violating Dentons First Amendment rights, Winsor wrote Thursday. There is something to this point, to be sure. But the public interest considerations involve more than simply righting a wrong.
Because so many of Dentons colleagues loathe him for stating Catholic beliefs in a private Catholic group chat, its unlikely the senate could function well enough to deliver on its duty to allocate student activity fees to student groups.

Florida State University knowingly and willfully violated Jack Denton's Constitutional Rights, and it's clear as daylight Christian views are not tolerated nor supported by FSU when it comes to a discussion on BLM/ANTIFA. No one, in his right mind anyway, should support of donate to FSU. Remember, if FSU is willing to conduct itself like this toward a Christian student, then Heaven knows what else they have in store for other Christians.

The judge was nominated by Trump. When ACB makes the supremes, will she have responsibility over the Federal District which Florida is in?

Exactly. What really angers me here is the fact FSU violated this Christian student's Constitutional Rights to Free Speech and Religious Expression. FSU then stripped him of his office, and denied him an appeal.
It's clear Christians do NOT have rights at FSU, and only a fool would send his money or his kid there.

Difficult to say, since I don't know the intricate nature here. FSU made it clear they not only refuse to hear an appeal with him, but they will fight this Christian student to the bitter end.
What an atrocious group of people they are.

Wow, this is a horrific decision. FSU is so screwed. This a clear violation of a constitutional right. Hope they lose their federal funding.

The “judge” isn’t a judge at all, but an activist who doesn’t give a carthorse’s crap for the law.

FSU gets Federal grants. That puts them on the hook to honor Article VI, Clause 3, of the US constitution. "no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States." But expelling someone for the religious views they
are applying a religious test.
One may ask how can this provision comes into play? By the same means by of legal reasoning that bans reading the bible or saying prayers because it violates the 1st amendment that says Congress can make no law that establishes a religion, or that a college that takes funds must adhere to Federal rules. Article VI, Clause 3 is far more than just a rule or a bill that became law, it is part of the US Constitution.
There may be all sorts of legal shenanigans that FSU's lawyers may have used to persuade this judge, but the plain reading of the law makes it clear that this ruling should be fought higher up.

OMG! WHAT was he THINKING!
Not bowing down to BLM and saying no to defundng the police?
How did even last this long with those radical right wing thoughts in his skull? He should have been silenced long before such blasphemous thinking was even uttered aloud in words. Obviously.

I know what you mean! We are living in a world where BLM, ANTIFA, and all kinds of other dangerous ideologies are being praised and honest and open assessments of these dangerous people are being villified. We live in a world where FSU systematically attacks a Christian student and denies his Constitutional Rights to Free Speech and Religious Expression.
These losers even denied him any appeal or due process rights, and are willing to fight him to the bitter end in court.
FSU administrators are the purest form of evil, and their actions against Denton prove this.

I hope there is some binding legal issue involved here that the article does not explain.
Judge Allen Winsor was appointed by Trump (and earlier by Governor Rick Scott).
In the US Senate confirmation vote, only one Democrat (Manchin-WV) voted for Allen Winsor.
Cannot get much more Conservative than that.
