President Donald Trump blasted rival Joe Biden's family after new emails said to be from Hunter Biden's laptop were revealed, calling the family 'grifters.'
Trump used the 'grifter' term – which critics including Rep. Adam Schiff recently applied to the president himself – following the release of emails that have unmasked some of Hunter Biden's business dealings in Ukraine at a time when his father had an influential role with the country as vice president.
'They're crooks, they've always been crooks. They're grifters and crooks, and this is what we're running against,' Trump told the conservative NewsMax network. 'And it's a disgrace. It's a disgrace,' he continued.

Trump's comments stoked the story amid a furious denial by the Biden camp, even as his lawyer Rudy Giuliani was signaling days of additional revelations, and thousands of additional emails and photos.

You do have a good point. The Constitution gives state legislatures the final say on allocating Electors. But Joe really isn’t on the ballot. Yes his name is there, but on the ballots I have cast, there is a bit of fine print: “Electors pledged to vote for...” in front of the candidate’s name. I don’t know if any states actually list the Electors’ names on the ballot.
And I am aware that SCOTUS did allow that states can punish ‘faithless electors’, but I don’t know if it compiles them to. Dem-controlled legislatures no doubt will have no problem democrat electors voting for a democrat substitute.
Blah blah blah blah blah. Until the orange jumpsuits come out it’s all just a bunch of useless jaw-jackin’ and I wish these people would all just shut up.

Actually, due to a 2020 U.S. Supreme Court case, if a state has a “faithless elector” clause, the electors CANNOT vote for anybody but President Trump or Joe Biden, unless the Green or Libertarian candidate wins in that state/congressional district. This was a rare “bipartisan” Supreme Court vote. Unanimous, although Justice Thomas wrote a separate opinion. 32 states have such laws.
I thought, and I could well be wrong, that the SCOTUS ruled that states could, if they wished punish ‘faithless electors’, but didn’t require that they do so. I seriously doubt that democrat states would punish Electors who voted for Biden’s replacement. Kind of like not electing to punish ‘mostly peaceful’ protestors for burning down a couple of buildings.
Absolutely outrageous that is allowed. I have a friend in Austin Texas (liberal of course) who showed me photos of people lining up to vote, so I asked her if that was from last year. She said it was today and she just voted!! What the hell? THREE weeks before the election people can vote at a polling place? What the hell is that? Why even have an election day?
