I remember in 2016 the media was all over talking about how Trump “has no ground game” but this year, he has a Super Plus ground game, and the media isn’t the least bit interested. It is their Basement Resident that has no ground game or any game at all. It’s the media that is doing all the Biden campaigning while he does nothing.

From NY, I live in Texas since long ago. Among military. When I want to really talk about politics, there’s no one I can talk to except a particular New Yorker with whom I grew up. Everyone else I know, though they may be conservative, some not at all- ugh Military wives- are naive. The New Yorkers, they get it. And they are fiscally wise. In general.
I live in the bluest state in the union, and we have Trump supporters here.

I was trying to be a bit sarcastic with my comment. Obviously there are Trump supporters in every state. It’s pretty bold to do what they did in NYC. Wish we had millions more do the same thing.
I love it. In their face! Sad thing is-there are probably more people in New York who love Trump than they let on but aren’t going to say so.
When I was in the USN, I met a lot of guys from New York, and while it was a common joke that they were the most disliked guys around and they had a rep for being obnoxious (and some were) truth was, once you got to know them some were pretty good guys.
Thing is...Trump really is one of those guys. I find it hard to believe they wouldn’t completely identify with him. I think a lot of them just don’t want the hassle from the Leftists, of which there are many...:)
As for us in my state, I admit I pretty much only socialize and interact (beyond work, of course) with my friends and acquaintances, who are all just as conservative as I am.

Business friend of mine came from NYC and lives in my area -his first reaction to living “in the woods of GA” was “man it feels so safe here and everybody is friendly”.
It’s people that have that reaction that I really appreciate.
