Thought the same thing. Why not Hooker’s and Heroin? Of course with D’s in charge they’ll demand it also be subsidized.

Here we have a typical democrat who wants some Pennsylvania people to get smoked out of their minds to gain a few dollars in tax money. This is all democrats know, that being to use whatever means to get money to fund their stupid ideas. Governor Wolf, try doing something within the law to fund your dumb ideas instead of letting some people to break the law to get those funds. Try doing it the right way for a change.

Sad to see a state where I was born, raised and have strong roots turn into a total sh*tshow politically.

So, while he's keeping existing businesses shut down and driving many out of business with insane restrictions, he wants to let pot shops open?

This is what passes for "science" for the Democrat Dictators and Fauci.

Dem. Gov. Gretchen Whitmer made certain at all times without fail during the lockdowns for Covid, to keep all marijuana stores open without interruption. Some said it was for the tax money she was greedy to grab. Gardening was locked down and yellow Do Not Cross ribbons were put in that dept. in big box grocery and discount stores.

To be fair same with liquor stores.

Total closures, then 10 people limit, then closed, then 50 people for various churches and synagogues from Feb.-Oct.

Whitmer, like Payday candy bars, is nutty.

I’m not against legalizing a lot of things, including weed, for adults. But it won’t do a small fraction of what getting rid of the crazy lockdown rules would do for the economy and tax base.

Yeah exactly! Instead of legalizing because there is no good reason why it should be illegal (with way more benefits than booze) let's legalize - BECAUSE WE NEED THE MONEY!

Cali is only 1 of 42 States (plus DC) where it is fully or partially legal(medical) or decriminalized.

So prolly should look at all of those also.

“””there is no good reason why it should be illegal (with way more benefits than booze)”””

There is no benefit to booze.

Weed should never be legalized. We have enough legal ways to fry brain cells already.

Well if we have enough ways to fry brain cells why is one more a problem?

Or this - I have enough guns so why is one more a problem?

BTW - What are the other legal ways to fry brain cells?

First, let’s jail anyone who uses or sells marijuana. Did that but people still use. Too many useless programs needing money. Where will it come from? Let’s sell dope and collect taxes.

Wolf is an IDIOT; that’s how they sold that crap here in California, “legalize marijuana and tax it, that will solve the states budget problems”.

WELL IT DIDN’T!!!!

Just added a lot of lowlife criminals and shysters to to the continuing welfare rolls here in the garbage/shit on the streets state.

Yeah; but now it’s legal to grow so not nearly as risky an occupation as it used to be.

The cops don’t bother with a grow as long as it doesn’t get out of hand, 50 to a 100 plants and the authorities will probably just ignore you, start planting it an acre at a time and you MIGHT have a problem.

Do your own processing and stick with private distribution and you can probably make about 2 to 3 hundred grand a year with no taxes, just make sure you pay cash for all purchases under about 2 or 3 grand.

For the bigger money items just pay off on time or go with money orders.

See it all the time in our local stores.
