Pennsylvanias Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf on Tuesday called for marijuana use to be legalized, which he said could help shore up the states economy.
Wolf said on Twitter that he would be renewing calls on the state legislature to legalize adult-use to provide a new revenue stream as the state battles a multibillion-dollar coronavirus-related budget deficit.
During a press conference on Tuesday, Wolf acknowledged that so far there has been no movement among Pennsylvania lawmakers to advance corresponding legislation.

Yeah; they find about one out of a hundred grows, big F#*KEN DEAL!
They want to know where the dope growers are, come see me; I hike, fish, and hunt all of Humboldt, Shasta/Trinity, and Six Rivers national forests.
They hit the news big time with every little chicken shit bust they make, they never seem to find the big ones.
OR CATCH THE WETBACKS DOING THE GROWING!!!!
I have been around for a very long time. If you need drugs to make it through the day then do what you gotta do.
Do you support banning it? If not, why not?
(For the record, my answers: No. Because it's not the proper role of government to ban things because they have no "benefit.")
Cali projected $1B in tax revenue. Fiscal year 2019 $288M. Still significant but well short
But don't worry, they won't use any of this money wisely.
Probably not - but they won't use it to as ill effect as did the cartels that used to get that money.
Let’s see — he wrecked the state’s economy. We should probably listen to him about fixing the problems he created. /duh
Good point.
It depends on the market. Not all of them have the approval, but some are approved to sell beer and wine. There are limits on the quantity in any single purchase, so if you want a case of beer you still need to go to a distributor. If you want a six-pack, there are take-out food places or groceries that will sell them to you. I've never had anyone bat an eye if I go in twice or my husband and I each buy one. I have no idea how widely distributed the licenses are in more rural areas. It's easy enough to find them in the suburbs.
If the governor is so worried about tax revenue, he could just re-open the state. This ridiculous shut down is killing small (and larger) businesses. I just heard yesterday that Hagy Coaches is going under after some 80 years of providing charter bus services. Shop-Vac is another PA company that has gone under due to COVID. These were solid good-sized firms that provided valuable products and services, along with tax revenue. Add to that a large number of small restaurants and retailers who have folded, and there is a huge impact on the state and local communities.
Some grocery stores and convenience stores can sell 12-packs and wine in limited quantities now.
But it’s a ridiculous amount of regulation...have to buy them in certain check out lanes, limited to 12 beers per transaction, can only buy it within certain hours...
It’s draconian.
Can’t let all that money go to Colorado, now, can we?
And we should let as little as possible go to the cartels.
Touché.
Thanks for the ping!
I support every state’s choice on whether to legalize cannabis or not. I prefer when voters make the decision at the ballot box also.
Sadly, as long as Pennsylvania is controlled by anti-America progressives everything they touch will continue turning into shite.
Yes, and I guarantee they didn’t buy those helicopters after the legalization law passed. They’ve been using those for decades.
It would help spread out the undesirables of the sort who flocked to CO when they legalized recreational pot, who might otherwise nest here in New Jersey if our voters approve it.
