Since when do serving officers offer their own opinions in media interviews?Sadly since January 20, 2017 when they no longer had anything to fear from the occupant of the Oval Office for things spoken out of turn or outright opposition. We can only hope that a Trump second term will change that.

Demote this bum to E-1, put him Leavenworth for a few years, then, exile him...with no pension.

This is insubordination.
He has no authority to overrule the president.
What a dumb ass.
What a way to end a career.

Yeah, like a general is going to confirm troop movements on public media. Seriously?

The words Trump is most famous for: “You’re Fired!” come to mind. Perhaps it should be “Court Martialed”. The military under United States law is subordinate to the civil authority. Commander in Chief is not just a phrase, it’s a chain of command.

I didnt realize that Milley is POTUS? /S
Didnt this General take an oath to uphold the US Constitution? I guess oaths dont mean much at the Pentagon.

Hes not overruling the president. The NYT is fake news. Read Trumps original tweets and the transcript of the generals interview. The NYT twisted what was said and tweeted.

Probably a NeverTrumper...but wars do make opportunities for advancement and fame...one of the ironies of senior ‘warriors’ wanting peace.
