President Trump publicly pressured the Justice Department on Friday to move against his political adversaries and complained that Attorney General William P. Barr is not doing enough to deliver results of a probe into how the Obama administration investigated possible collusion between Russia and the 2016 Trump campaign.
The delayed report is “a disgrace,” and Trump’s 2016 Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton, should be jailed, Trump said in a rambling radio interview, one day after he argued on Twitter that his current Democratic opponent, Joe Biden, is a criminal who should be barred from running......
Administration officials have expressed frustration in recent days about Trump’s publicly pressing his attorney general to bring indictments against his political foes, noting it could hurt his campaign and wondering among themselves if he is “trying to lose,” the person familiar with the matter said.

After more than three years, Elizabeth Denham, the UK’s Information Commissioner, has closed her investigation into improper data handling by the SCL and Cambridge Analytica group.
At first glance her findings, which were released on Tuesday, dispel many of the accusations put forward by whistleblowers and digital rights campaigners over the course of 2018.
The most serious of these was that the digital marketing specialist had colluded with Russia to steer the results of the Brexit referendum and broken US campaign rules during the 2016 presidential election...
According to the final report, the Commissioner’s office is already ensuring that “any data, models and derivatives are safely destroyed” and that “several items obtained have been subsequently disowned and we are taking measures via our forensic technology provider to destroy these safely ourselves.”
That, FT Alphaville assumes, implies the underlying data that many continue to believe single-handedly “hacked” the 2016 Brexit and American elections, could soon be lost forever.
If that’s the case, it may shortly become even harder to disprove the uncomfortable proposition that Cambridge Analytica’s main data-related crime was overselling its own capabilities rather than actually hacking democracy with the help of the Russians.

Truth? Gallup says 56%, an all time record, believe they are better off now than they were four years ago. Reagan got his 1984 Forty Nine State landslide on 44%. Also 56% told Gallup Trump would win - that question has never failed. Also Democracy Institute reported Trump voters are 34 points more enthusiastic and for good measure they said Trump is getting 66% of the Catholic vote. No Republican has ever lost while getting 46% or more of the Catholic vote - Reagan got 61%.
