In a tense political climate, California is taking an unusual step and warning local election officials to prepare for disruption at polling places and potential cases of voters being intimidated or blocked from casting ballots.
In a memo this week, the Secretary of States office reminded county election officials it is a felony for any person to possess a firearm at a voting location or in the immediate vicinity, unless authorized.
Its also illegal to threaten anyone in an attempt to discourage them from voting.

I’m surprised about this. I thought that the authorities in California would describe such behaviour as peaceful protests.
Funny how this crap only happens in leftist states. And they continue to call us the violent ones.
Maybe I should volunteer to be a poll watcher. Hmm.
So they’re going to shut down Republican district voting with pretended “threats” perceived by Dem actors.
Got it.
They want you to mail in your votes so they can throw them away.
They are not talking about “urban” voting places. Or when the violence is threatened by the left.
Meanwhile in my little slice of North Dakota, there will be an elderly couple offering coffee and cookies to people waiting in line to vote.
But of course that's their modus operandi. It's straight out of Rules for Radicals to accuse the other side of what you're doing.
If they block Trump voters or disrupt ones ability to cast a ballot for President Trump, they and their candidate should be charged with a federal crime.
The “wargames” sessions which John Podesta attended included these-——
David Brookss in NYT, What Will You Do if Trump Doesnt Leave? .... If Trump claims a victory that is not rightly his, a few marches in the streets will not be an adequate response....” There may have to be a sustained campaign of civic action, as in Hong Kong and Belarus, to rally the majority that wants to preserve democracy, that isolates those who would undo it.
And also this pre-violence scenario discussed by NYT writer Ben Smith
Aug.2, 2020 (on his Twitter account)
....(here reported by New Republic ——
“ During the Transition Integrity Projects simulation of this election in June, Podesta played a Joe Biden whod won the popular vote but lost the Electoral College, just as Clinton did. He refused to concede.
In that scenario, California, Oregon, and Washington then threatened to secede from the United States if Mr. Trump took office as planned, The New York Times Ben Smith wrote last month. The House named Mr. Biden president; the Senate and White House stuck with Mr. Trump. At that point in the scenario, the nation stopped looking to the media for cues, and waited to see what the military would do.
Yes, please do. Anyone who is available to needs to volunteer as poll watchers or workers.
You can be a poll watcher too as an independent citizen there ot record any concerns. Don’t need permission, I wouldn’t think. As long as not interfering with legal process or influencing voters.
This is a great graphic
RE: CA,OR,WA threatened to secede reply gif “well....”

LOL.
Somebody interviewed about secession possibilities a few weeks ago quipped: “If California really does secede I doubt all over America people will say No, No, don’t do it. Come back, California. Come back.”
No offense to our beloved CA FReepers and homebase. All in fun.
If California secedes from the Union, then a large part of the state will secede from California, calling it the state of “Jefferson”.
(That’s how West Virginia was created).
Yes, part of the new three CA states with 2 Senators each, federal aid, and electoral votes.
Proudly standing with Samoa, Puerto Rico and DC in the new Marxist Peoples’ Socialist Union of North America.
Liberals can surgically pinpoint where and when ‘violence’ and disruption can be expected... because THEY are planning it.
See?
Come back, California. Come back.
They will be returned as territories, cleansed of illegals, and under control of appointed territorial governors an the US Army. Only handfuls of people will need to be interned and fewer hanged.
Sounds like a good novel plot except we have gone through less shocking twists and turns in the past 2 years. So makes sense.
