Here's More Funny Business Regarding How Pollsters Sample Republicans for their Anti-Trump Polls

OK, so the they are sampling suburban Repubs ... whatever.

Trump typically has 90-95% approval among Republicans. That has been his average in polls going back the past 2 years now. The ones that don't support him, that 5 or so percent, are the latte-sipping Republicans who have never voted for him.

Apparently, sampling only sissy Republicans lowers Trump's support level to 70-something percent. That's a big difference and very misleading.

Capn:

You should never be depressed by a poll unless you _fully_ understand all the metrics behind it.

Life is too short to be gaslighted by leftists.

Don’t do it.

Remember, Trump supporters in New England _know_ that they can be doxxed by leftists in a thousand different ways, and the public service and other unions are very organized.

I would not draw any conclusions from limited data.

Trump supporters are keeping _very_ quiet these days.

They plan to speak once and only once, with their vote.

Unless you live in a very red part of the state I would think Trump supporters would be very reluctant to induce harassment or violence from leftist neighbors by advertising their deplorable, irredeemable, misogynistic, racist, homophobic views...:-)

The “protesters” will now burn down your garage if you so much as display an American flag. Bottom line is these days we are forced “to keep it to ourselves.”

Republicans have out registered democrats in most all of the battleground states this year which is a good indication of interest in this election by our side.

And attendance by supporters at candidate appearances is strictly a one way deal...all Trump. Polls have routinely showed Trump supporters far more enthusiastic about their candidate than Biden supporters. They have actually started “chants” of “We love you.”

And even in the latest Gallup poll when voters were asked who would win the results were Trump 56% — Biden 40. That question is frequently used to bring out how “shy voters” really feel. More and more pollsters use it now.

This is not an “undecided election.” This is a base election....minds are already made up.

We’ve got this!

There are 2 polls I follow, IBD/Tipp and Trafalgar. Both were very accurate in 2016

The Trump signs in m neighborhood get stolen or property damaged. I see congressional signs, American flags instead. No one wants their tires slashed by the tolerant left.

Here’s a hanky. Get a grip.

What makes you think that there haven’t *always* been anti-Trump Rs and pro-Trump Ds? The pollsters have just figured out how to filter for bias.

ALL polls reflect the outcome desired by the guy paying for it. For certain sure, no doubt. That’s how the pollsters stay in business. ALL polls are mostly Bullshit.

You beat me to this point... :)

To force the outcome they want, namely to have Biden chosen as the winner.

Someone posted on another thread that crowd sizes don't matter - which doesn't make sense because Trump's crowd sizes were larger than Hillary's and he won. This time Trump's crowd sizes are infinitely larger than Slow Joe's and the voter enthusiasm gap is yuge. I think Trump 340+ EV. Just think about it - if Michagan and Minnesota are now battleground states what does that mean?

I think Trump will win a state no one thought was in play, I don't know which though.

I think there have always been anti-Trump Rs but many have been converted as Trump has had success after success and been attacked mercilessly for the last 3.5 years. The dead-ender Never-Trumpers that have only hardened their hearts since 2016 have become more vocal like their left-wing counterparts.

I have been polled many times this election cycle. Which is unusual, I can remember years when I wasn’t polled at all. Mostly it has been push button, not people talking to me. So while I am a 70 year old white grandma, to the pollsters I am a young black gay single guy and sometimes I am voting R and sometimes D. I just want to mess up their polls.
