Are you in quarantine?

It must be depressing, straining so to make milquetost of the electric reality all around us. It’s palpable, atmospheric, yet you seem to pick through it all, apparently hoping to nail a nit.

Cheer up, lest your melancholy mislead some poor schlub.

WA-8 is my district, and the enthusiasm for Doc Schrier is...elusive. But we’ve got lots of Seattle techies moving to the ‘burbs, so who knows?

No errors on ballot?

You drop ballot into machine?
Was there a number ... a count?

Anyone else improperly registered at your address? They crossed your name off?

I vote early on election day to see if there are irregularities

I despise Hillary Clinton, but she was fairly articulate and reasonably intelligent. And she didn’t go around groping little children and sniffing hair (at least publicly). She also had the excitement of potentially making history as the first woman U.S. president.

Her crowds couldn’t compete with Trump’s, but compared to Sleepy Joe’s events she was a rock star. Yet it still wasn’t enough. But we’re supposed to believe this bumbling, creepy clown who can’t string 3 error-free sentences together is going to beat POTUS handily?

OK- I agree. That said, why are the people on 'Morning Joe' so absolutely convinced Biden's gonna win?

I fill out a form, name, sig, address, DOB, woman finds me on a list (paper), records my voter number or whatever, programs a card, I stick the card in a machine, touch screen, it prints a ballot, I feed it to the counter machine.

My brother moved to Cali for YEARS, was registered here and never voted. I could have easily been filling out a mail ballot for him these past few elections, all I would have had to do was forge his sig.

I laugh when they say election fraud is not a problem.

Yes, we all get caught up occasionally in the polls, negatives stories, etc. But there’s a lot of positive news out there to focus on.

I have to believe PDJT won over a lot of supporters, and lost few if any.

I think he lost some, as shown during the 2018 elections. But he's also gained some, and improved his standing among Republicans since 2016. That's why I think he does better across the board in 2020 and wins the general election and picks up a few more states. We'll find out in about three weeks.

Did you recycle this question from 2016? :-)

I've already made up my mind who I'm voting for (unlike this year's primary where I waited until the last week to do so, and now can no longer mock people who are "undecided" until the last minute)

However, I am still going to vote ON Election Day. I certainly don't trust the "vote by mail" that the mainstream media/RATS are pushing hard for. I would be OK with Early Voting in person if I didn't live in Crook County. But I do live in Crook, so its vote in person on election day, via paper ballot only.

Some articles have been saying the third party candidates have a weak bench this year. I feel its the opposite. 2016 was the worst for me because I was not only dissatisfied with the major party candidates, but the third party nominees sucked balls as well ("Libertarian" Gary Johnson picked big government RINO Bill Weld as his running mate, Egg McMuffin was running as the "more conservative" alternative to Trump, even though his views on the issues were to the LEFT of Trump, etc., etc.)

2020 is a whole different ballgame. Jo Jorgensen, at least on paper, was the first Libertarian candidate since Michael Badnarik in 2004 to be an ACTUAL Libertarian, and could have made some inroads into swing voters by being the "female alternative to two old white men" that the major parties are running (of course, Jorgensen blew it and committed Seppuku by getting in bed with the Burn Loot Murder movement). I was surprised to find out this week there also seems to be a genuinely decent conservative third party (basically what the Constitution Party always aimed for but missed out by running neo-confederate loons, young-earth creationists, and "only evangelical protestant Christians should be in CP" type candidates). in the form of the American Solidarity Party, which is on the ballot in Illinois. They were inspired by Lech Walesa's 1980s movement in Poland to create a US equivalent -- a blue-collar organization lead by workers that is for traditional social values (pro-life, pro-traditional marriage, etc.), a free market economy, and anti-marxism. If Trump had turned to be an awful NYC RINO like I (wrongly) predicted, those guys would have my vote. As it stands, I hope they stick around for future elections when the GOP nominee is a Mark Kirk type scumbag.

I just sent your post to my conservative best-friend who didn’t like Trump, was influenced by Charles Krauthammer, and voted for Hillary. She eventually came around to supporting Trump until COVID struck. Being stuck in the house and reading the NY Times she temporarily lost her mind and went back into anti-Trump mode. However, once the the rioting started she flipped back and is rabidly, fervently, for Trump.

Now she’s worried Trump isn’t going to win. I think your post will help calm her down.

>> I despise Hillary Clinton, but she was fairly articulate and reasonably intelligent. And she didn’t go around groping little children and sniffing hair (at least publicly). She also had the excitement of potentially making history as the first woman U.S. president. <<

That's what I don't get about all the media stories about these "Lincoln Project" types claiming they are "lifelong Republicans" but Biden is the first RAT they will ever support for President. I can imagine most of the pro-Hillary "Republicans" uber-RINO types from 2016 being on the Biden bangwagon this time around (Colin Bowel Movement and his ilk), but can't imagine anyone claiming Hillary was unacceptable but somehow electing Biden is fine and dandy. As much as I loathe Hillary, at least she wasn't a creepy pedophile and was mentally aware of what was going on around her enough to run the country.

>> IMHO because the only candidate less popular than Donald Trump was Hillary Clinton. I held my nose and voted for Trump, certain he would stab me in the back (especially with judges) given his Dem history and some of his previous statements. Happy to say I was very wrong. There are many, many others like me who have been won over the past 4 years. Some didn't hold their noses and vote Trump; they chose a 3rd party. <<

And I think there is a deliberate media blackout of those of us who find ourselves in the reverse scenario of the "Lincoln Project" crowd (Coop & myself, for starters)... we were vehemently AGAINST Trump getting the GOP nomination in 2016, and even after he got it, we were STILL convinced he would be a disastrous RINO if elected, and now we have gone 180o degrees in the other direction and have been pleasantly surprised and very happy with Trump's overall record.

I remember saying in November 2016 that I was NOT happy that Trump won, but rather THRILLED that Hillary LOST.

Amen to that! It took a while for Pres. Trump to win me over, but it didn't take long for the Dems to piss me off and push me toward Trump with the "Russia! Russia!" hoax.

But I gotta wonder if the "Lincoln Project" types who were on the Trump train in 2016 (and now say they will vote RAT out of spite just to defeat Trump) have some serious mental problems. We were happy to be proven WRONG about Trump. They are outraged at being proven RIGHT about Trump? Huh? Basically it went like this:

==============================================

Congressman Joe Walsh (R-IL): WOOHOOO! GOOO TRUMP! Trump will be Reagan redux if elected!! I'm all in for my man Trump!

Me: Are you kidding me? Trump will be Mitt Romney on steroids. Your cheerleader for him is embarrassing to the GOP.

Trump: Hey, now that I got elected, I'm gonna govern like an actual conservative. Let's move the US embassy to Jerusalem, get the transgender freaks out of the military, take on communist China, and sign some pro-life bills!

Me: Wow, I was wrong. Great job Trump!

Congressman Joe Walsh (R-IL): Wow, Trump is like the WORST PRESIDENT EVER! Can't believe I ever supported this guy, how embarrassing! ANY DemonRat would be better than Trump!

Everyone else: WTF?
