Hollywood already has come out in her defense. The film is disgusting and should be banned here in the US - just pointing out that it was (unfortunately) legal where it was made and that the crew is not US citizens and are not in the US to charge with crimes. Otherwise, any time a US video involving guns is screened in France, France could charge US citizens with crimes against French law.

This movie is a disgusting foreign product that Netflix decided it was a good idea to ‘import’ as one of their offerings. Netflix (and their execs specifically) are the ones responsible for this debacle with regards to US law.

A number of lawyers have opined that the movie is actual black-letter-law child porn, FYI.

It’s worse than that for the corporation - because you can’t put a corporation in jail, it can either be made to pay fines... or be dissolved with the assets liquidated. There is a corporate death penalty.

I’m not sure if Netflix can be indicted, but I’m glad that it is happening.

Woodville, Texas is the county seat of Tyler County Texas.

Woodville, (pop 2586) is the home of U.S. Congressman Brian Babin. Don't know if he had anything to do with the indictment.

This issue was the final straw for me, as I cancelled Netflix a few weeks ago. Netflix may as well be part of the DNC.

Item from that link:

"Billionaire mogul Haim Saban threw open his arms as he arrived to meet first lady Michelle Obama at the Beverly Hills home of Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos and his wife of 2½ years, Nicole Avant, the newly returned U.S. ambassador to the Bahamas. 'I'm here!' Saban announced to all within earshot of the no-press-allowed crowd of 135 -- a who's who of Hollywood political power players, including Jeffrey Katzenberg, Steve Bing, Harvey Weinstein and Mike and Irena Medavoy; Sarandos' boss, Netflix CEO Reed Hastings; and Quincy Jones, Avant's godfather."

Apart from Weinstein being present, of interest is Quincy Jones's alleged history with various celebrities--Michael Jackson, Will Smith, Tupac, Tevin Campbell. . . There is some overlap here with Scientology and other cults (For example: Jones was an avid reader. With the encouragement of Neil Friel, a hipster bebop trumpeter from Tacoma, he discovered L. Ron Hubbard’s Dianetics, Wilhelm Reich’s eccentric psychological/sexual theories, Baird Spalding’s “The Life and Teachings of Masters of the Far East.”: Garfield’s glittering star, Quincy Jones dared to dream Peggy was married to music mogul Quincy Jones and is the mother of "Parks and Recreation" star Rashida Jones. Lipton once dated Elvis Presley but they reportedly broke up when she tried to get him to join the Church of Scientology. . .: The Ex Mrs. Quincy Jones). Also, Katzenberg had this to say with respect to Weinstein: "'Make no mistake about it: He is a monster,' Katzenberg said. However, Weinstein had not been a lone actor, but had instead been protected by other men around him. 'There is a pack of wolves.'" Jeffrey Katzenberg: Harvey Weinstein Is a Monster, but Didn’t Act Alone

Those last couple of lines. It must be Weinstein that the Eagle’s wrote “King of Hollywood” about.

I had that album (on cassette) for the song “I can’t tell you why”. Now it (King of Hollywood) all makes sense.

Harry Cohn (July 23, 1891 – February 27, 1958) was the co-founder, president, and production director of Columbia Pictures Corporation. . .Cohn expected, or at least asked for, sex from female stars in exchange for employment (although similar stories were connected to many producers in Hollywood at the time).[7][8] Harry Cohn's relationship with Rita Hayworth was fraught with aggravation. Hayworth's biography If This Was Happiness, describes how she refused to sleep with Cohn and how this angered him.[9] However, because Hayworth was such a valuable property Cohn kept her under contract because she made money for him. During the years they worked together, each did their best to irritate the other despite their lengthy work relationship which produced good results. Cohn wanted to groom Mary Castle as Hayworth's successor. When Joan Crawford was subjected to Cohn's advances after signing a three-picture contract with Columbia, she quickly stopped him by saying "Keep it in your pants, Harry. I'm having lunch with Joan and the boys [Cohn's wife and children] tomorrow."[10] According to writer Joseph McBride, Jean Arthur quit the business because Cohn used to attack actresses.[11] In a BBC documentary, Sammy Davis Jr - The Kid in the Middle, along with the titular star's episode of TVOne's Unsung Hollywood, it was disclosed that Cohn, in order to end Kim Novak's relationship with a black man, had mobsters threaten Sammy Davis, Jr. with blinding or having his legs broken if he did not marry a black woman within 48 hours.: Harry Cohn

Jack Warner's (and Hollywood's) virulent anti-Catholicism.

Beautiful Joan Leslie was dissatisfied with the roles offered to her by the studio.

She sought more serious and mature roles. Her decision was also based on moral and religious grounds.

In 1947, the Catholic Theater Guild gave Leslie an award because of her "consistent refusal to use her talents and art in film productions of objectionable character."

As a result of this, powerful movie mogul Jack Warner used his influence to blacklist Leslie her from other major Hollywood studios

It was pretty rampant in several studios. Joseph Kennedy and Howard Hughes did the same thing at RKO. John Huston belonged to a group of sexual deviants which included Man Ray, Nicholas Ray, Black Dahlia murder suspect George Hodel, and Aleister Crowley's follower Kenneth Anger. Anger's book Hollywood Babylon includes some information about a scandal involving Crowley and a Hollywood drug ring in the 1920s.
