The American Medical Association (AMA) has joined with Planned Parenthood and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) to ask the U.S. Supreme Court to block a Trump administration rule that marks a clear boundary between abortion and family planning.
The groups filed the petition Thursday following the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and before Senate confirmation hearings begin for President Donald Trumps nominee, Amy Coney Barrett, to fill the vacancy.
The abortion rights groups are asking the Supreme Court to correct the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuits decision to uphold the Trump administration rule.
According to the AMA:
The petitioners argue that until the Ninth Circuits erroneous decision is corrected, the administrations gag rule is harming patient care and causing physicians and other health care professionals to violate ethical obligations by preventing Title X clinics from providing full information to patients about all of their reproductive care options. This marks the first time in recent history the AMA has petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court, further underscoring the governments significant overstep in issuing the rule.
Our nations highest court must step in to remove govt. overreach & interference in the exam room. Restricting the info docs can provide to #TitleX patients blocks honest, informed conversations about all health care options. #LetDocsSpeak #SaveTitleX https://t.co/MT7lt3VDan

Murdering babies is NOT family planning
Its family EXECUTION !
To Hell with the AMA butchers
I know we’ve had doctors in Congress, including ones currently serving, such as Senators Cassidy (LA) and Paul (KY). But this sh*t, apart from the nagging, nannying tendencies that ironically make physicians good people in their practices, is why I do NOT want the Rule of Doctors. A Rule of Doctors would make Michelle Obama look like a piker in comparison.
In the early 1950s, about 75% of US physicians were AMA members. That percentage has steadily decreased over the years. In June, at the annual meeting of its policy-making body, the House of Delegates, the AMA announced that it lost another 12 000 members last year.
That brings total membership below 216 000. Up to a third of those members dont pay the full $420 annual dues, including medical students and residents. Not counting those members, somewhere in the neighbourhood of 15% of practising US doctors now belong to the AMA.

...unless it pertains to firearm confiscation.
College woman’s studies term paper A+ —
Yah... cuz like... abortion is social justice, cuz like... abortion saves so many moms, and like... abortion saves so many babies from COVID infected men...
AMA is evil.
Doesn’t matter the age, abortion is pure evil, but people should know —

This is why I am not a member of the AMA. They are just a political organization. Regarding their stance of combining abortion with family planning, abortion is what happens when you DON’T plan. They are most definitely not in the same category.
The AMA has been a joke for years. It is a far left lobbying organization. I dont know anybody who actually belongs to it
They suing over homosexual conversion therapies too?
I mean, since we are worried about the gov’t in exam rooms and all...
So the AMA is pushing for taxpayer funded abortions?
